General: Prior to race 1 all races were pushed back one time slot to allow for repair work to be conducted on the starting boxes. R1 rescheduled for 12:16pm, R12 rescheduled for 3:42pm.

 

Prior to race 5 a delay was issued to allow for repair work to be conducted on the lure, subsequently all races were pushed back another time slot. R5 rescheduled for 1:46pm, R12 rescheduled for 3:57pm.

Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES MDNPW 380m

 

The start of this event and all subsequent events were pushed back one time slot to allow for repair work to be conducted on the starting boxes.

 

5 Forever Charged – Checked off the heels of another runner exiting the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to an offside front toe, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 2 - LORRAINE HEATH MAIDEN 380m

 

7 Four Rangers – Checked and taken significantly wider on the track rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

8 Federal War – Checked and taken significantly wider on the track rounding the first turn, making contact with the padding on the outside rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 3 - WEE WIN KENNELS NOVICE 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 4 - CLEAVLAND BAY SEAFOOD'S MA5 380m

 

2 Limitless Speed – Gave ground in the back straight and faltered in its action rounding the first turn, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hamstring, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 5 - RQ SUPPORTS RACING INDUSTRY SAFETY 0-4 WINS 498m

 

The start of this event was delayed and all subsequent events pushed back one time slot to allow for repair work to be conducted on the lure.

Race 6 - GARY HEATH PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 380m

Race 7 - BRAD WOODS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

Race 8 - CATHY OCKENFELS BEST 8 380m

 

8 Senor Yogi – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the back straight. Bumped by another runner rounding the home turn. Checked off the heels of another runner in the home straight.

 

 

Race 9 - STEVE AND RHONDA ESSERY GRADE 4 (1) 380m

 

4 Zena Arena – Bumped by another runner and made contact with the running rail in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 10 - RICK GILLESPIE GRADE 4 (2) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 11 - JUSTIN REID GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

7 All Up – Faltered in its action in the back straight, losing considerable ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside triceps, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 12 - BILLY RUDD GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

8 Shian Fire – Proved very difficult to box at the start of the event, delaying the start considerably. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainers representative Mr. C. Scifleet regarding the boxing manners of Shian Fire and subsequently declared that pursuant to GAR106(2) the greyhound will now be boxed first in future race starts.
