Race 1 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

7 Gracie Matilda – Checked across heels rounding the home turn. Shifted inwards and turned its head towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brad Belford regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing all available footage, Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR124 stood Gracie Matilda down for 28 days at all tracks for Failing to Pursue (1st offence). The greyhound must complete a satisfactory trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

10 Secret Hustle – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. Finished the race tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 6 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS & TRAINERS MIXED 3/4 380m

 

1 Plum Tuckered – Beaten favourite starting at $1.35. Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room approaching the first turn. Checked across heels at the top of the home straight.

 

Race 7 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 498m

 

3 Willies Fury – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

5 No Regrets – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Bumped heavily by another runner and fell rounding the home turn taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
