Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 380m

6 Beijing Ling – Lost ground sharply exiting the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 2 - JUDY OLSEN MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 380m

1 Cleo Blazer – Late scratching at 7:12am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

5 Deeragun Prince – Tightened for racing room and was checked shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 3 - ETHAN MALONEY MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 4 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS AND TRAINERS MAIDEN HEAT 4 MAIDEN 380m

2 Duke of Burdell – Made contact with the catching pen gate after the event had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 5 - CORAL COAST SEAFOOD'S NOVICE 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 6 - HEATH EGGLETON 0-2 WINS 498m

2 Bar One Smokers – Late scratching at 7:12am due to the greyhound not being presented to Stewards within the required kennelling time. In accordance with GAR86(3)(b) Bar One Smokers is prohibited from competing in any event for a period of 10 days. Trainer B. Chaffey entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum of $200.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to GAR76(7) as a result of the greyhound Bar One Smokers being scratched for a reason which in the opinion of Stewards was unacceptable.

Race 7 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY MA5 380m

4 Rev Up Zeus – Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn. Checked by another runner exiting the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 8 - NQ GAME MEATS MIXED 4/5 498m

6 Wild Rumour – Checked off the heels of another runner exiting the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 9 - RAY GOODGER 1-3 WINS FINAL 1-3 WINS 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 10 - CRAIG WATTS MIXED 4/5 380m

2 Mali’s Red Hot – (Beaten favourite) Raced in restricted room throughout the back straight. Checked rounding the first turn. Checked off another runner exiting the first turn.

5 Ryan’s Pick – Late scratching at 7:12am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

Race 11 - KEN MACKENRUTH MIXED 3/4 380m

1 Valentine Teddy – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Raced very wide rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 12 - FUEL PT GRADE 5 380m

1 Cool Bananas – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Checked by another runner rounding the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced.
