Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES MAIDEN 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 2 - HEATH ARDLE NOVICE (1) 380m

 

1 Showtime Bailey – Severely checked rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

3 Marley Emgrand – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Checked rounding the first turn.

 

Race 3 - SHELLY DENNIS NOVICE (2) 380m

 

2 Bodhi – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 4 - COREY HEATH 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 380m

 

3 Haytown’s Trio – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 5 - PUG WASH PAINTING 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 380m

Race 6 - JEFF LYNCH 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 380m

Race 8 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS BEST 8 380m

 

5 Spitfire Rhodes – Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Danny Preh regarding the greyhound’s seemingly improved performance. Mr Preh stated that Spitfire Rhodes has been racing well over his previous five starts and expected a forward showing tonight, despite being up in grade. Mr Preh and Stewards agreed that the greyhound was best to begin and by racing on the lure out in front, gave him his best chance of winning the race. Stewards noted his comments.

 

6 Good Odds Rascal – (Beaten favourite) Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

 

Race 9 - V & M DRILLING MIXED 3/4 380m

 

7 King Amar – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

 

Race 10 - KB SEAFOOD COMPANY GRADE 4 380m

Race 11 - BROOK HEATH MIXED 4/5 380m

Race 12 - WOOLER RACING GRADE 5 380m

 

8 Ramsay’s Rocket – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the near hind foot and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.
