General: The track was power harrowed yesterday to a depth 50mm. As a result, race times for tonight’s races may be slower than normal.

 

 

Race 1 - KB SEAFOOD COMPANY MAIDEN 380m

 

2 Scale Up Time – (Beaten favourite) Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. Bumped by another runner in the home straight becoming momentarily unbalanced.

 

Race 2 - PUG WASH PAINTING NOVICE (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 3 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES NOVICE (2) 380m

 

3 Hara’s Mickey – Severely checked rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside shoulder and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 4 - PREH WE WIN RACING GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

1 Target Girl – Turned her head inwards towards the runner on its inside for several strides shortly after entering the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Miss Hayley Wooler regarding Target Girl’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing the available footage and hearing Miss Wooler’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR124 (3rd offence) and therefore the greyhound will be stood down from racing for 3 months at all tracks and must complete 2 x Stewards trials prior to any future nomination being accepted.

 

Race 5 - BROOK HEATH GRADE 5 498m

 

3 Hidden Radar – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed a minor laceration to the off-hind toe. No stand down time was given by the on-course veterinarian.

 

7 Luxy Nova – Faltered in its action in the back straight when appeared to have sustained an injury taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside triceps muscle and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS FFA 498m

 

3 Plum Tuckered – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Checked off heels rounding the first turn and lost ground.

 

Race 7 - WOOLER RACING BEST 8 380m

 

1 Billy Buttons – Contacted the catching pen gate after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 8 - ANNIVERSARY CUP FINAL MIXED 4/5 498m

 

6 She’s Some Fox – Checked rounding the first turn. Severely checked rounding the turn off the back straight losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing to the near-hind leg and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 9 – TAB MIXED 3/4 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 10 - COREY HEATH GRADE 4 380m

 

8 Starlight Belle – Checked off heels shortly after the start. Finished the race in tailed off in last place. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside shoulder injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 11 - V & M DRILLING GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

8 Where’s The Ship – Faltered in its action shortly after the start when appeared to have sustained an injury, failing to complete the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside hock injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

 

Race 12 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.
