General: Prior to race 1 all races were pushed back one time slot due to transport difficulties experienced by a race day official. Race 12 rescheduled to start at 4:20pm. |

3 Daddy’s Money – Severely checked by another runner shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 3 - KB SEAFOOD COMPANY NOVICE 380m |
|
1 Hara’s Grace – Turned in the boxes, taking no competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards invoked GAR 106(1) turned in the boxes and the greyhound must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.
2 Granville – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the nearside hind, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.
4 Balt’s Shadow – Appeared to ease and turn its head towards another runner to the outside in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. B. Chaffey regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 10 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

2 Salah’s Goal – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

8 Set To Roll – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

1 King Amar – Collided with another runner rounding the second turn and was checked and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
2 Elaine Danced – Checked by another runner rounding the second turn, became unbalanced and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 7 - JEFF LYNCH MIXED 3/4 380m |

1 Here Wolfe – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. B. Belford regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr. Belford stated that he was very disappointed with the run today and believes the greyhound may not have handled the back-up from Tuesday 19/12/2023 498m event. Stewards requested that Mr. Belford report back should anything come to light in the coming days that could have affected the greyhound’s performance.

4 Danyo’s Clint – Checked and dragged down severely approaching the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
