Race 3 - KB SEAFOOD COMPANY NOVICE 380m

 

1 Helsinki Rico – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Trainer G. Olsen reported to Stewards that he believes the greyhound did not appreciate the inside box and is better suited drawing to the outside of the field.

 

8 Aston Jacinta – Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.  

 

 

Race 4 - V & M DRILLING MA5 380m

 

5 Mary Now Knows – When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainers representative Mr. P. Smith stated that Mary Now Knows had been trialling well recently and in a similar time to today’s event. Mr Smith advised Stewards that the greyhound races best over 380m when jumping well and is able to lead the field through the first turn and raced as such today. Mr Smith further advised that the kennel did not support the greyhound in wagering today. Stewards noted the explanation.

 

8 Polarizer – (Beaten favourite) Raced wide throughout.

 

 

Race 5 - WOOLER RACING GRADE 5 (1) 380m

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 4 380m

 

1 Denim – Clipped the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and fell. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

5 Balt’s Flying – Severely checked and fell when rounding the first turn due to interference by the fallen runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Stormy Rose – Dragged down rounding the first turn and was severely checked and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 7 - JEFF LYNCH MIXED 3/4 380m

 

5 Lady Steps – Dragged down in the home straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 8 - PREH WE WIN RACING MIXED 1/2 380m

 

3 Balts Obsession – Severely checked rounding the first turn. Became extremely unbalanced and contacted the outside rail padding. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

4 Gatting Ball – Raced in restricted room approaching the first turn and was severely checked when rounding the first turn. Became extremely unbalanced and contacted the outside rail padding. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

5 Good Odds Rascal – Was checked and clipped the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

7 King Amar – Checked and dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 9 - SHELLY DENNIS GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 10 - BROOK HEATH GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

7 Good Odds Digger – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin.  Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Raced in restricted room approaching and rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 11 - TAB GRADE 5 (4) 380m

 

1 Warbel Tony – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn and became unbalanced.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.  

 

2 Showtime Poppet – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 12 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (5) 380m
