1 Lyn Knows – Lost considerable ground approaching and rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr J. Reid regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to pursue (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. Mr Reid stated that it is his intention to retire the greyhound.

1 Sudoku Girl – Tightened for racing room exiting the first turn and clipped the heels of another runner and fell. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to offside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

6 Malligan Bale – Late scratching at 7:09am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to illness the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.
8 Like A Lorry – (Beaten favourite) Bumped with another runner in the back straight. Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced. Bumped with another runner throughout the home straight.
