Race 1 - ETHAN MALONEY MAIDEN (1) 380m

8 Pictor Natural – Late scratching at 7:33am pursuant to GAR 77(3) due to being in season, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

Race 2 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS AND TRAINERS MAIDEN (2) 380m

8 Showtime Piper – (Beaten favourite) Extremely slow to begin. Hampered by another runner rounding the home turn.

Race 3 - B & M DRILLING MAIDEN (3) 380m

4 Sky’s Gambit – Checked off another runner after passing the finishing post and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 4 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE (1) 380m

8 Zambora Beach – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr. M. Partland regarding the greyhound’s racing manners over the final 50m of the event. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to pursue (1^st offence) – 28 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 5 - LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOOD NOVICE (2) 380m

Race 6 - TGBOTA NOV/M 498m

8 Enchanted Lola – Late scratching 05/04/2024 pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

Race 7 - HEATH ARDLE MA5 380m

6 Bobbie Jean – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the home turn and was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

8 Free At Night – Dragged down by another runner rounding the home turn and fell. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 8 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES PATHWAYS HEAT 1 5PW 380m

Race 9 - PREH WE WIN KENNELS PATHWAYS HEAT 2 5PW 380m

3 Nadina Bale – Appeared awkward in its action in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed suspected heat stress. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.
