Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 380m

3 Call Me Alice – (Second favourite) Checked off heels rounding the first turn and lost ground.

4 Bella Sensation – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 2 - CLEVELAND BAY SEAFOODS 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 3 - PUG WASH PAINTING 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 380m

Race 4 - B & M DRILLING 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 380m

3 Lottie Bear – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 5 - KB SEAFOOD COMPANY 5PW 498m

5 Three Tries – (Beaten favourite) Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Raced in restricted room rounding the turn off the back straight.

Race 6 - SIMLEC ELECTRICAL GRADE 5 (1) 498m

6 Pacific Storm – Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brad Belford regarding the greyhound’s seemingly improved performance tonight running a personal best time of 28.93. Mr Belford stated he has been doing a lot of box work with the runner and expected Pacific Storm to jump much better tonight. Mr Belford further stated that the greyhound jumped well when it ran second two starts ago and expects further improvement in Pacific Storm as he has just turned two years of age. Mr Belford advised Stewards that he didn’t support the runner in tonight’s race. Stewards noted the explanation.

Race 7 - CORAL COAST SEAFOODS GRADE 5 (2) 498m

2 Bar One Smokers – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed the greyhound to have mild exhaustion. No stand down time was given by the on-course veterinarian.

Race 8 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 1/2 380m

3 Paulie Walnuts – Checked off heels shortly after the start and lost ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 9 - NQ GAME MEATS GRADE 5 (3) 498m

5 Urana Lot – Fell in the catching pen after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 10 - INGHAM ROAD SEAFOOD MIXED 3/4 380m

3 Trixie Rigatoni – Commenced to weaken in the back straight when appeared to have sustained an injury, finishing the race tailed off in last place. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off-hind leg and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 11 - MPL REFRIGERATION MIXED 4/5 380m

7 Harlem Shuffle – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed a minor laceration to the tail. No stand down time was given by the on-course veterinarian.

Race 12 - ALL RUMOUR KENNELS GRADE 5 380m

9 Blue Marine – Late scratching at 9:29 am when trainer Robert Lound reported the greyhound to have an illness GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted.
