4 Showtime Thor – (Beaten favourite) Bumped with another runner in the back straight. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn. Clipped on the heels by another runner exiting the first turn.
8 Tropical Balt – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Clipped on the heels by another runner exiting the first turn and became momentarily unbalanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

2 Secret Hustle – Checked by the fallen runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
5 Monkey Pants – Severely checked by the fallen runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
8 Final Table – Checked and fell rounding the first turn. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

3 Pacific Storm – Clipped the heels of another runner rounding the first turn, lost considerable ground and became extremely unbalanced for several strides. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
8 Gifted Jasper – Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

3 Good Odds Digger – (Beaten favourite) Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide in the back straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. M. Hickmott regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr Hickmott stated that he was happy with today’s run but has been unable to get a start with Good Odds Digger for the last three weeks and due to that the greyhound is lacking race fitness. Mr. Hickmott further stated that he did not support the greyhound in wagering today. Stewards noted the explanation.
6 Tessa Poppy – Checked and fell shortly after the start. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

3 Amarillo Slim – Faltered in its action in the back straight. Lost considerable ground and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to both back muscles, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
7 Bobbie Jean – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was passed fit to start.

2 Elaine Danced – (Beaten favourite) Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. B. Belford regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr. Belford stated that Elaine Danced was in good order today and expected the greyhound to perform better, adding that he believes the greyhound is better suited to a further distance. Mr. Belford further stated he did not support the greyhound in wagering today. Stewards noted the explanation.
