General: Following the running of Race 1, the catching pen gate was unable to be closed due to the proximity of the lure and the position of the leading greyhounds from the catching pen gate. As a result, all greyhounds pulled up post-race in the back straight. Following this incident, testing of the catching pen gate and the lure were conducted to ensure that both were functioning correctly.
Stewards walked the track after the running of Race 10 and deemed the surface safe to continue racing. |
