General: Trainer Mr. C. Scifleet was reminded of his obligations under GAR105 when boxing greyhounds.

Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN (1) 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN (2) 380m

8 Judy Ann – Eased when rounding the home turn and directed its attention to another runner towards the outside, turning its head and shifting ground towards that runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside triceps, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. H. Wooler regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 10 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 3 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS & TRAINERS MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 380m

9 Blue Eleanor (5) – Late scratching on 30/05 pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

Race 4 - LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOOD NOVICE (1) 380m  

1 Canya Slider – (Beaten favourite) Began awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the home turn and in the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. J. Schafer regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr. Schafer stated that greyhound is young and inexperienced although did believe the greyhound would perform better today, further stating that he believes the greyhound will benefit from today’s run. Stewards noted the explanation.

Race 5 - B & M DRILLING NOVICE (2) 380m  

2 War Admiral – (Beaten favourite) Checked off the heels of another runner exiting the first turn.

Race 6 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY NOV/M 498m

4 Don’t Matter Me – (Beaten favourite) Checked shortly after the start. Checked exiting the first turn.

5 Lyn’s Watching – Dragged down exiting the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 7 - TGBOATA PATHWAYS HEAT 1 5PW 380m

7 Jingalong Lotte – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to an offside hind toe, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must compete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.

Race 8 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES PATHWAYS HEAT 2 5PW 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 9 - ALL RUMOUR KENNELS PATHWAYS HEAT 3 5PW 380m

2 One Headlight – Late scratching at 8:36am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

4 My Blue Ivy – Late scratching on 30/05 pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

Race 10 - PREH WE WIN KENNELS PATHWAYS HEAT 4 5PW 380m

2 Heidi Heart – Dragged down entering the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 11 - ETHAN MALONEY MA5 380m

7 Is That You – Late scratching at 8:36am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

8 Lagoon Camille – Late scratching at 10:18am pursuant to GAR 92(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 12 - HEATH ARDLE MIXED 3/4 380m
