General: The track was harrowed to a depth of 100mm yesterday. As a result, race times for today’s meeting maybe slower than normal.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 380m |

4 Feather Soft – Severely checked rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
8 Fable Bale – Checked off heels and fell rounding the first turn taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside shoulder and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

2 Emmy Panama – Severely checked rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

2 Ambrosia – Turned its head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Tony Gaiardo regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing the footage, hearing Mr Gaiardo’s submissions and acting on their own observations, Stewards invoked GAR124 Failing to Pursue and stood down Ambrosia for 28 days at Townsville plus the completion of a satisfactory trial. |
