Race 1 - LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOOD MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

2 Beastly Princess – Checked off heels rounding the first turn and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 3 - INGHAM ROAD SEAFOODS NOV/M 498m

 

3 Underbelly Miss – Checked off heels approaching the first turn and fell, failing to complete the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 4 – TGBOTA NOVICE (1) 380m

 

3 Panadom – Severely checked rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the nearside wrist and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 5 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES NOVICE (2) 380m

 

1 Jed The Turtle – Checked by another runner and fell after the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

6 Not Kath – Checked off heels and fell after the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

8 Super Emma – Shifted towards the rail and turned its head inwards in the direction of the runner to its inside in the home straight for several strides. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Jay Schafer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing the footage of the race and hearing Mr Schafer’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR124(1) Failing to Pursue (3rd offence) and stood down Super Emma for 3 months at all tracks plus the completion of two satisfactory trials.

 

Race 6 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS & TRAINERS NOVICE (3) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 7 - B & M DRILLING MIXED 4/5 380m

 

3 Molly Emgrand – Severely checked rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 8 - SIMLEC ELECTRICAL 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 9 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY PATHWAYS HEAT 1 5PW 380m

 

2 My Blue Ivy – Underwent post-race veterinary examination at the request of her trainer that revealed the greyhound to have mild dehydration and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

5 Sister Emgrand – Began to lose ground in the back straight and finished the race tailed off in last place. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Bobbie-Jean Chaffey regarding Sister Emgrand’s performance. Ms Chaffey advised that the greyhound had some issues with her back feet and was receiving ongoing treatment. Ms Chaffey further added that she had been checked by her veterinarian and had trialled well leading up to today’s run. Stewards were advised that Sister Emgrand will now be spelled now for a month or longer whilst consideration is given to her racing future. Stewards noted the trainer’s comments.

 

Race 10 - TAB PATHWAYS HEAT 2 5PW 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 11 - ALL RUMOUR KENNELS PATHWAYS HEAT 3 5PW 380m

 

7 Bella Sensation – Checked off heels approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside wrist and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 12 - PREH WE WIN KENNELS PATHWAYS HEAT 4 5PW 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.
