Race 1 - PREH WE WIN KENNELS MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

6 Feather Soft – Shifted in and turned its head inwards towards another runner taking it’s attention away from the lure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side triceps injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Hayley Wooler regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury - 10 day stand down and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

8 Pass The Glass – Turned its head inwards making contact with another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hamstring injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainer John La Rosa regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 2 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS & TRAINERS MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

3 Mint Benelli - Late scratching at 11.35am under the provisions of GAR 86(1) not being presented the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Jake Keymes was fine $200 pursuant to GAR 86(3).

 

 

Race 3 - B & M DRILLING NOV/M 498m

1 Jed The Turtle – Shifted out and bumped with another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

6 Fingal Bay – Fell entering the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 7 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPHY PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 380m

 

4 Penny Girl – Severely checked entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

8 Idyllic Storm – Began awkwardly, severely checked entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
