General: After the running of Race 4, Stewards delayed the All Clear to review the race footage in relation to the lure arm shifting backwards during the running of the race. After reviewing the video replay and acting on their own observations, Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no runner had been materially affected and therefore declared All Clear on the judge’s semaphored numbers. |

4 Ant Music – Severely checked rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

3 Beastly Princess – Turned its head outwards in the direction of another runner shortly after start. Shifted out noticeably approaching the first turn inconveniencing another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Joan Newnham regarding the greyhound’s racing manners shortly after the start. After reviewing the race footage and hearing submissions from trainer Ms Newnham, Stewards invoked GAR124(1) Failing to Pursue (1st offence) and stood down Beastly Princess for 28 days at Townsville plus the completion of a satisfactory trial.
6 Pictor Natural – Turned its head outwards shortly after entering the home straight in the direction to the runner on its outside. Turned its head outwards approaching the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Matthew McGuire regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing the race footage and hearing submissions from trainer Mr McGuire, Stewards invoked GAR124(1) Failing to Pursue (1st offence) and stood down Pictor Natural for 28 days at Townsville plus the completion of a satisfactory trial.
7 Verruckt – Missed the start by a considerable margin before making up ground to finish at the tail of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

After the running of Race 4, Stewards delayed the All Clear to review the race footage in relation to the lure arm shifting backwards during the running of the race. 6 Eyes Wide Shut – Late scratching at 1:53 pm when trainer Mr Laurie Wode reported the greyhound to have an illness GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted. |

5 Pashmina – Checked off heels rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the nearside hind foot. No stand down time was given by the on-course veterinarian. |

8 Drink Tia – Faltered in its action shortly after start losing considerable ground taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindleg and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |
