General: Hair samples were obtained from all Townsville Cup runners and taken to the Racing Science Centre for analysis.

Race 1 - OLSEN FAMILY TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 1000 FINAL MAIDEN 380m

Race 2 - WOOLER RACING & JUDY OLSEN COLOUR RUN FINAL GRADE 5 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 3 - PETER GROVES MEMORIAL MAO 380m

3 Good Odds Rascal – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Checked off heels shortly after the start.

Race 4 - TGBOTA BINKS AND MARLENE WALKER FINAL GRADE 5 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 5 - ROBERT LOUND WEE WIN KENNELS STAYERS CHALLENGE FINAL OPEN 643m

3 Case Dismissed – Severely checked approaching the first turn losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

6 Hidden Radar – Severely checked rounding the turn into the back straight losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VETERINARY SERVICES TOWNSVILLE CUP (G2) CONSOLATION OPEN 498m

4 Plum Tuckered – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight and lost ground. Bumped heavily by another runner rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 7 - STEPHEN & RHONDA ESSERY NORTH QUEENSLAND SPRINT FINAL OPEN 380m

5 Lektra Bolt – Severely checked rounding the first turn and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 8 - BURDEKIN VETERINARY SERVICES TOWNSVILLE CUP (G2) FINAL OPEN 498m

1 She’s A Bumpy – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn.

Race 9 - INGHAM ROAD SEAFOODS BEST 8 380m

1 Jimmo Roo – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Checked off heels approaching the first turn and lost ground.

Race 10 - BALTS AGENDA MIXED 3/4 498m

Race 12 - BURDEKIN VETERINARY SERVICES GRADE 5 498m

5 Tony Rocket – Severely checked rounding the turn off the back straight losing considerable ground finishing the race tailed off last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the off hindleg and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.
