Race 1 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS & TRAINERS MAIDEN (1) 380m |

6 Ricolina Jam – eased when rounding the turn into the home straight and then halfway through the home straight Ricolina Jam ceased chasing the lure and failed to finish the course. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Steward’s spoke to trainer Glen Olsen regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards suspended Ricolina Jam pursuant to GAR 124 Fail to pursue (1st offence). Ricolina Jam was stood down from racing at Townsville for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing again.
8 Super Pickle – underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have an injury to the left hind hip support. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. |
