General: Trainer Mr. Robert Lound was reminded of his obligations in relation to nominating greyhounds to race when within the vaccination exclusion period.

Race 1 - A-MECH SEVICES MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

1 Hara’s Daisy – Late scratching on 26/09/2024 pursuant to GAR 77(1) due to being in season, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

 

5 Fable Bale – Checked shortly after the start. Conceded ground rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right hip support, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 2 - PHIL O'SULLIVAN MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

4 Cash Manager – Put in an awkward stride and lost ground exiting the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

Race 3 - HARA'S HERBIE AT STUD MAIDEN (3) 380m

 

1 Mr Kaplan – Late scratching on 26/09/2024 pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards have received a veterinary certificate.

 

4 Curra Girl – Shifted inwards towards another runner and eased for several strides in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to a right front toe, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 14 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr. Gary Farrell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 14 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

5 Ant Music – Late scratching on 26/09/2024 pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to illness the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

 

 

Race 4 - IN MEMORY OF PETER GROVES NOVICE (1) 380m

 

2 Canya Scarlet – Made contact with the running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the tail, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 21 days.
