Race 2 - FUEL PT TRAINING SOLUTIONS MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

7 Hara’s Holly – collided heavily with other runners in the catching pen and fell. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 3 - PATRICIA GROVES NOVICE (1) 380m

 

No reportable incidents.

 

Race 4 - ENGINEERING INDUSTRIES AUSTRALIA NOVICE (2) 380m

 

1 Mondo Cortez (beaten favourite) – slow to begin. Severely checked and lost ground entering the turn out of the back straight and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal abnormalities.

 

Race 5 - AUSSIE PET & ANIMAL TRAVEL NOVICE (3) 380m

 

No reportable incidents.

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES MA5 380m

 

1 Ramsay’s Rocket – severely checked and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the front straight taking no further competitive part in the event. The greyhound was examined post-race and again at the end of the race meeting and was found to have bruising to both groins. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 

Race 7 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 380m

 

No reportable incidents.

 

Race 8 - SCOTT DUFFY RACING PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 380m

 

1 Migraine – severely checked and lost ground entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

2 Classic Emgrand – severely checked and faltered when entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right elbow. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 

6 Helsinki Rico – severely checked and fell on the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 9 - NQ MARINA SEAFOOD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 380m

 

No reportable incidents.

 

Race 10 - T.G.B.O.T.A 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 380m

 

5 Panama Lad – severely checked and become unbalanced on the turn out of the back straight and then leaped over the outside fence resulting in Panama Lad to fail to finish the course. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 11 - RAMBUTAN RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 380m

 

2 Golden Snitch – A pre-race sample was taken.

 

Race 12 - COREY HEATH 5TH GRADE HEAT 5 GRADE 5 380m

 

9 Fire Up Tine – cramped after walking off the track back to the kennels. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the greyhound to have cramped and to have a haematoma on the right front leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
