2 Venice Bale – (Beaten favourite) A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the left stopper pad, no stand down time was issued. When questioned regarding the performance of Venice Bale, trainer Mr. K. Boody said he thought that the greyhound raced flat tonight and stated that he was disappointed with the run, and although the bitch travelled well to the race meeting today, he believes the greyhound did not back up from last Tuesday’s run. Stewards noted the explanation.
