General: Club staff advised that the track was harrowed to a depth of 150mm on Friday 03/01/2025, as a result today’s race times may be slower.

 

Licensee Ms C. Turner was reminded of her obligations in regards to the Racing Queensland Greyhound Dress Code.

 

Reserve runner Lucky Llama underwent a veterinary examination after having trialled with no abnormalities noted.

Race 1 - STARLINE EXPRESS AT STUD GRADE 4 (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 2 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING GRADE 4 (2) 380m

 

1 Stormy Rose – Contacted the running rail on several occasions in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

Race 3 - FUEL PT TRAINING SOLUTIONS GRADE 4 (3) 380m

 

2 Good Odds Adam – Contacted the running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left shoulder, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days.

 

8 Moneyball – A pre-race sample was obtained.

 

 

Race 4 - RAMBUTAN RACING MIXED 3/4 380m

 

5 Instinctively – Put in an awkward stride exiting the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left elbow, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.

 

 

Race 5 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES BEST 8 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES GRADE 5 (1) 498m

 

4 Young Rob – Extremely slow to begin.

 

 

Race 7 - POSTMAN'S RIDGE GREYHOUNDS GRADE 5 (2) 498m

 

5 Eugene – Tightened for racing room and checked shortly after the start, losing ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. M. Partland regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

 

 

Race 8 - PREH WE WIN RACING FFA 498m

 

1 Jackknifed – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

5 Showtime Isaac – (Beaten favourite) Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked. Clipped on the heels by another runner exiting the first turn. Bumped with another runner and became unbalanced rounding the home turn.

 

 

Race 9 - MPL REFRIGERATION GRADE 4 (4) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 10 - NQ MARINA SEAFOOD MIXED 4/5 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 11 - CORAL COAST SEAFOODS CAIRNS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 12 - JUSTIN REID GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

1 Emgrand Flash – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities and the greyhound was passed fit to start.

 

6 Super Pickle – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request which revealed an injury to the left hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days.
