General:

·       Following the stewards trial prior to race1 the lure driver reported to stewards that the lure was experiencing lag and was slow to accelerate. Stewards closely monitored the situation and will liaise with the race club and repairs prior to the next race meeting.

·       The start of race 11 was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to the 380m starter boxes air compressors malfunctioning. Stewards will liaise with the race club and repairs prior to the next race meeting.

Race 1 - HARA'S HERBIE AT STUD GRADE 4 (1) 380m

 

7. Emmy Panama – Checked and knocked off balance soon after the start.

 

8. Heidi Heart - Checked and knocked off balance soon after the start.

 

Race 2 - RAMBUTAN RACING GRADE 4 (2) 380m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 3 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES GRADE 5 (1) 498m

 

8. My Blue Ivy – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside fore pad laceration. and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

 

Race 4 - KEYFLO PACIFIC PTY LTD MIXED 4/5 643m

 

2. Federal Belle – Lost footing and gave ground on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Jay Schafer regarding the greyhounds action on the first turn and after considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

 

6.Amber Annie – Checked off heels in the front straight soon after the start.

 

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH GRADE 5 (2) 498m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES FFA 498m

 

8.Princess Toes – Checked heavily on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside neck and shoulder muscle soreness and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

 

Race 7 - POSTMAN'S RIDGE GREYHOUNDS BEST 8 380m

 

1. Mr Dubai – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident after the finish and was found to have an offside leg injury]. A 90 day stand down period was imposed and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial before returning to racing.

 

Race 8 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS FINAL OPEN 498m

 

5. Waikarie Venom – Checked off heels on the first turn. Took an awkward stride in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 9 - GARBUTT NEWS & POST OFFICE MIXED 3/4 380m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 10 - MPL REFRIGERATION GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 11 - NQ MARINA SEAFOOD GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

·       The start was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to starter boxes malfunctioning

 

1. Luxuriate – Checked and disadvantaged soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside paw laceration. and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 12 - CORAL COAST SEAFOODS CAIRNS GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.
