Race 2 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES MAIDEN (2) 380m |

3 Brugal House – Late scratching at 12:55pm pursuant to GAR92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an injury to the right hind leg during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
6 White Cockatoo – Appeared to turn its head inwards towards another runner at box rise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the neck, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. Rhonda Essery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR125 failure to pursue by reason of injury – 10 day stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

4 Redshift Mike – Became awkward in its action racing in the back straight and conceded ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.
8 Mad Maxine – Checked across heels rounding the first turn, became unbalanced and was forced extremely wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.
