RACING QUEENSLAND STEWARDS REPORT ARAMAC RACING CLUB INC – SATURDAY 20TH MAY, 2017 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT (3) RAIL – TRUE ENTIRE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – Ms K. McCrackenClerk of Scales – F. Manwaring Judge – D. McKenzieVeterinarian – D. McKenzieStarter – P. Banks Race 1: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES BM 55 HANDICAP– 1000 metres BELWORTH – Slow to begin. DRINKING COCKTAILS – Slow to begin and travelled wide throughout. HIDDEN CHIEF – Travelled wide in the middle stages with cover and hung in down the home straight. FINNIGAN’S FOLLY – Slow into stride. ONE UP – Slow into stride and travelled wide the majority. Race 2: ARAMAC HOTEL/ARAMAC CUT PRICE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres I AM LAD – Over raced in the middle stages, made contact with the inside running rail at the 400m and shifted out abruptly hindering outside runners. MAKE A MILLION – Hampered by an inside runner shifting ground near the 400m. JUST CALL ME ANNIE – Jumped away extremely awkwardly nearly dislodging apprentice E. Bell losing ground and raced ungenerously and wide throughout. Stewards advised trainer D. O’Brien that the mare would be required to pass a trial for performance prior to racing again. MUCHAS CORONAS – Shifted in over the concluding stages tightening an inside runner. ASHIKO – Hampered and lost momentum at the 400m when an inside runner shifted ground and was tightened for room in the concluding stages when an outside runner shifted in. Race 3: BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL/CURR FAMILY CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 metres BASHAN – Slow into stride. BENCHI PEGASUS – Sat back on the gates as the start was effected losing ground. BUDDY ROCKS – Slow to begin and jockey R. Achini felt the gelding was reluctant to stretch out. A post-race veterinary inspection showed no abnormalities. Trainer W. Irwin stated the gelding could be going for a spell. STYLISH SON – The gate bounced back at the start, contacting jockey D. Evans in the right shoulder. Jockey Evans was treated by ambulance officers after the days racing for soreness in the shoulder. Race 4: ELDERS/COOLA CARPETS & FURNITURE BM 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres HUSSON’S SHOUT – Slow into stride and travelled wide throughout. GO GADGET GO – Jumped away awkwardly contacting and outside runner. FASTPITCH – Contacted at the start. Race 5: JEFF DOLGNER WEIGHT FOR AGE - 1400 metres A DEPENDANT – Hung out severely rounding the home turn.
