Race 1:  BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL / ARAMAC CUT PRICE BM 55 HANDICAP– 1000 metres
 
GREEN LIGHT – Contacted at the start when an inside runner shifter ground and contacted another runner on to GREEN LIGHT.
 
PUNISHING – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the race.
 
NICKLEBY – Contacted at the start when an inside runner shifted ground.
 
SINAMORE – Reared at the start and jumped outwards contacting outside runners and nearly dislodging App. E. Bell.
 
ANY GLORY – Slow into stride.
 
 
Race 2: JOHN & JEFF DOLGNER WEIGHT FOR AGE - 1000 metres 
 
 
BUSH CAVIAR – Travelled wide for most of the event.
 
BENCHI PEGASUS – Slow to begin and slow into stride.
 
GO SAI – Hampered and hit the rail and had to be severely checked near the 500m when outside runners shifted in causing the gelding to lose ground.
 
HEZA CHUMLEY – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the race.
 
KAKAKENNY – Near the 500m had to be eased when outside runners shifted ground. Jockey P. Romeo was reminded of his obligation to keep his mount straight and relieve pressure.
 
DRAGON FIRE – Approaching the 500m apprentice A. Ross allowed her mount to roll in and place horses inside her under pressure. Apprentice A. Ross was reprimanded and reminded of her obligation to keep her mount straight and correct a horse shifting ground.
 
GIRLS AWAY – Slow into stride.
 
 
Race 3: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES / ELDERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres  
 
CLEARWATER – Slow to begin.
 
NICCONI PASQUALE – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
SAGA QUEEN – Slow to begin.
 
LADY BLUIRE – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 4: HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY JIM LYNCH CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 metres  
 
MENACING – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
DUTCH COURAGE – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
FASTPITCH – Slow to begin then travelled wide for much of the race.
 
MAKE AMENDS – Shifted out under pressure down the home straight.
 
BON DANCER – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: COOLA CARPETS & FURNITURE / FERGUSON’S TRANSPORT BM 60 HANDICAP - 1400 metres      
 
NO OTHER WAY was a late scratching at 12.30pm as there was no rider available.
 
MISHANI CENTURION was a late scratching at 12.30pm as there was no rider available.
 
AMADEO – Contacted leaving the 200m when an outside runner shifted ground then lay in under pressure.
 
OUR BEATNIK – Slow to begin, shifted in sharply near the 200m contacting and inside runner.
 
ITALIAN SON – Held up momentarily at the top of the straight for clear running.
 
HUSSON’S SHOUT – Slow into stride then travelled wide for the majority.
 
NORTHERN MAGIC – Slow to begin and slow into stride.
