Race 1: B & A WOODS OPEN HANDICAP 1000 metres
 
Jockey B Moffat was permitted by stewards to ride ALFIARTO 1 kg overweight.
 
Jockey M Butler was permitted by stewards to ride ARCHADE 3 kg overweight.
 
BOINGO – Dipped shortly after jumping, was slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
DRAYMAN – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
ANGELS OF FENWAY – Awkward to begin.
 
 
Race 2: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES BM 50 HANDICAP 1000 metres
 
COUPE DE VILLE & FLOWER were late scratching’s at 12:30pm due to no riders being available.
 
Jockey M Butler was permitted to ride ANOTHER EPISODE 1.5 kg overweight as he was the only available jockey.
 
DONE IT AGAIN – Travelled wide with cover in the early stages.
 
ALGEROBA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was passed fit to race after an incident in the truck on route to the track. Lay in down the home straight and approaching the 90m shifted in causing SERPENTI to be eased and change course. Jockey C Rogers was reprimanded under AR131(a) and reminded of her obligation when shifting ground.
 
SERPENTI – Awkward to begin, approaching the 90m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of ALGEROBA which shifted in.
 
PURPLE TRUMPET – Knuckled shorty after jumping.
 
ANOTHER EPISODE – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly had bled from both nostrils. Trainer H. Forster was advised that a bar would be placed on the horse under the provisions of AR79(4)(b). The filly would be stood down for a period of three months and then only after a satisfactory gallop of 1000m in the presence of stewards would be allowed to accept in any future race starts.
 
RECONIS – Travelled wide for much of the race. Apprentice rider A Ross was fined the sum of $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on two more occasions than permitted prior to the 100m.
 
 
Race 3: ARAMAC CUTPRICE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres
 
GEOVANNI – Raced ungenerously in multiple stages of the race with jockey J Rudd stating the gelding resented the kickback.
 
MISHANI FORCE -- Ride R Tilley was fined the sum of $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on three more occasions than permitted prior to the 100m.
 
SO EMPRESSIVE – Slow into stride.
 
TAN DINH – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
 
Race 4: JOHN DOLGNER MEMORIAL OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE HEAT OPEN HANDICAP 1400 metres
 
SIZZALATING – Contacted at the start. Approaching the 900m had to be restrained after improving onto heels and was obliged to shift out, then travelled wide for the remainder of the race.
 
VAN WINKLE – Jumped outwards contacting SIZZALATING.
 
JARHEAD – Reared as the gates opened losing ground and travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
 
Race 5: JEFF DOLGNER / D & C HELICOPTER RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 1400 metres
 
SIZZLESUN, DARK ARCHER, CHEEKY CHOPS and OUR SAY were all late scratching’s at 12:30 pm due to no riders being available.
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey E Bell to view the photo finish print to ascertain her finishing position. After jockey Bell was comfortable satisfied, correct weight was given on the judge’s numbers.
 
GREY FALCON – Knuckled out of the gates.
 
PITCHI PITCHI – Travelled wide for much of the race with cover.
 
RUELAS – Jumped outwards contacting GREY RULES.
 
AMADEO – Travelled wide for much of the race with no cover.
 
GREY RULES – Contacted at the start.
