Race 1: 2YO Maiden Handicap – 1100M
1st: Model to Exceed 2nd: Dragon Hart 3rd: Aviator Girl 4th: How About Me
DRAGON HART (S. Kaya) jumped out as the start was effected bumping KIMBERLEY COLD (B. Swaffer) then shifted in bumping HOW ABOUT ME (K. Rockett).
CHILLAGOE (S. Pawsey) and KIMBERLEY COLD (B. Swaffer) bumped approximately 100 Metres after the start resulting in KIMBERLEY COLD being inconvenienced.
MODEL TO EXCEED (W. D’Avila) had a tendency to hang in over the concluding stages of the race.
Race 2: Maiden Plate – 1100M
1st: Dragon Ace 2nd: Hilton Miss 3rd: Delago Power 4th: My Mate Nate
DRAGON ACE (S. Pawsey) jumped awkwardly as the start was effected.
MY MATE NATE shifted and bumped DELAGO POWER (J. Kuskopf) shortly after the start resulting in that runner becoming unbalanced.
Jockey J. Dickinson reported that his mount (MY MATE NATE) had a tendency to hang in in the back straight despite his efforts to correct it.
DELAGO POWER (J. Kuskopf) had a tendency to hang in from the 350 to the 100 metre mark.
MY MATE NATE was inspected by the veterinarian after the race who reported no abnormalities.
Race 3: Benchmark 55 Handicap– 1000M
1st: Pudzianowski 2nd: Barrier Jet 3rd: Overanga 4th: Wild Rumours
ASSEMBLY (S. Kaya) was fractious in the barrier prior to the start.
SALSBEEL (K. Stone) reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
FOURSREAL (J. Felix) began awkwardly.
LOVE THAT DRAGON (J. Kuskopf) raced wide in the middle stages of the race.
Race 4: Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1200M
1st: Dazzle On 2nd: Lideem 3rd: Pink’n’Blue 4th: Chronic
LIBERTY’S MAGIC (S. Pawsey) was slow into stride as the start was effected.
Stewards questioned apprentices B. Swaffer (DESPERATE WOMAN), J. Kuskopf (LIDEEM) and S. Wiseman (DAZZLE ON) in relation to an incident at approximately the 800 metre point where DAZZLE ON was checked whilst racing on the outside of DESPERATE WOMAN with LIDEEM racing on the outside and advance of DAZZLE ON. It was ascertained that J. Kuskopf allowed her mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of DAZZLE ON then eased the pace resulting in DAZZLE ON clipping the heels of LIDEEM. The back straight film was unavailable due to a malfunction with the equipment and the front straight footage was inconclusive. Subsequently stewards issued apprentice Kuskopf a severe reprimand for what appeared to be carelessness on her part.
Race 5: Open Handicap – 1100M
1stSeek de Fortune 2nd: Tat Zephyr 3rd: Sizzlelon 4th: Panecillo
TAT ZEPHYR (W. D’Avila) jumped in on to SEEK DE FORTUNE (S. Wiseman) as the start was effected.
PANECILLO (B. Swaffer) hung out at the 400 metre point causing SIZZLELON (J. Kuskopf) to race wide on the turn.
PANECILLO (B. Swaffer) raced wide from the 400 metre point to the finish.
PANECILLO was inspected by the veterinarian after the race who reported no abnormalities.
