Cameron, advised Stewards that following a post-race veterinary examination of HIDDEN DAISY, it was revealed that the mare suffered an injury to its near side tendon and that it was his intention that the horse now be retired from racing. Mr Cameron was advised that should circumstances change, a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to HIDDEN VALLEY racing again. Race 1: TOLGA DISTRICT LIONS CLUB BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1000M1st – ROAD FOX 2nd – GANGSTER SQUAD 3rd – PUB THUG 4th – PHANTOM SOXAs S. Kaya failed to arrive on course by the prescribed time he was replaced by M. Kai as the rider of PHANTOM SOX. S. Kaya was reprimanded.Correct weight was delayed to allow the rider of PHANTOM SOX (M. Kai) to view the patrol film to ascertain if he was afforded a fair start. After viewing the race film it was established the barrier gates of PHANTOM SOX were marginally slow to open however in the opinion of Stewards this had no material effect on the finishing positions and therefore Stewards declared correct weight on the judge’s numbers. DIVINE SAGA – Began awkwardly, over-raced early stages and made the first turn awkwardly. Raced wide majority of race. DECLAN STYLE – Fractious in the barriers. PHANTOM STYLE – Shifted wider rounding the home turn. ROAD FOX – Slow to begin. Wide without cover early stages. Race 2: THE PAGODA MAIDEN PLATE 3YO & UP S/W – 1200M1st – NOVA CHINA 2nd – MONASHEE LASS 3rd – ZEDAHEEL 4th – GLOW LION GOGEORGIE PORGIE – Slowly away. Was taken wide at the 750 metres by another runner which was racing greenly.MISS SONIC BOOM – Bumped with another runner on jumping.GLOW LION GO – Began awkwardly bumping with another runner soon after the start.ZEDAHEEL – Lost ground after beginning awkwardly. Dipped passing the 200 metres. Shifted out across heels to obtain clear running approaching the winning post.BELLA ROSIE – Slowly into stride. Raced greenly near the 750 metres. Was wide without cover for the majority of the event.Race 3: THE SPRING BEAN CLASS B H'CAP – 1200M1st – I WANNA BREAK FREE 2nd – CRAIGLEA ALDI 3rd – SHE’S A RINGO 4th – EDITORIALEBOOM BOX – Began awkwardly.EDITORIALE – Was slowly away after being crowded on jumping.SHE’S A RINGO – Shifted in abruptly on jumping. Laid out under pressure down the running.The mare RED SHAWL was inspected post-race by the Veterinarian and was found to have sustained a laceration to the off shoulder. Stewards advised trainer Ms. J Ryan that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare racing again.Race 4: BJS PLUMBING & CIVIL CONTRACTING BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1200M1st – BIG TOMEE 2nd – PRIME SHADOW 3rd – STIEG 4th – BLOUKRANS(NZ)STANDFORD – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority of the event.STIEG – Was bumped on jumping. Was taken wide near the 700 metres by another runner which shifted out across heels.PRIME SHADOW – Was bumped on jumping.DECISIVE ACTION – Shifted out to avoid heels near the 700 metres.BIG TOMEE – Restrained off heels near the 650 metres.Jockey K Rockett was fined $100.00 after weighing in more than a half kilogram overweight after riding DECISIVE ACTION. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on CARACAS be refunded in full and that all successful wagers placed prior to the time of scratching be subject to deductions of 8 cents win and 9 cents place in the dollar on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Mr. A Bailey was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare racing again.SMALL CHANGE – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
