Race 1: WATTOS EARTH MOVING CLASS B H’CAP – 1100M
 
MONSOON TWISTER – Inconvenienced by another runner at the start and lost ground.
 
CHIC SOX – Blundered at the start and shifted in. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
NOVA CHINA – Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority of the race.   
 
PINK STELETTO – Inconvenienced by another runner near the 900m and lost ground.
 
PANDAMAN – Bumped shortly after the start. Lay out near the 900m and continued to do so for a short distance.  
 
CUT ‘N’ POLISH – Disappointed for a run near the 100m and was restrained.   
 
 
Race 2: ROCKTRANS BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1200M
 
GREAT PRETENDER – Slow to begin.
 
FOUR JAYS – Slow to begin. Commenced to over race early stages and as a result raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider A. Thomson’s helmet worked itself loose and shifted causing Ms Thomson some inconvenience over the concluding stages. Ms Thomson was advised that in future she was to ensure that all of her equipment is fitted correctly.
 
MODEL TO EXCEED – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
DAZZLUNA – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
BIG TOMEE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
HYDRIVE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.      
 
BON TEMPS – Saddle shifted back rounding the home turn placing its rider at a disadvantage,
 
 
Race 3: PETER ROY PHOTOGRAPHY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow the rider of the second placegetter A. Thomson,(MONASHEE LASS) to view the Stewards footage to ascertain if she had grounds to lodge an objection against HUMPTY BUMPTY (J. Lambie) which was declared first past the winning post. After viewing the available shots Ms Thomson declined to proceed and correct weight was given on the judges semaphored numbers.  
 
SAINTLY ROYALE – Slow to begin.
 
MY SPECIAL LADY – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.
 
NUROCITY – Slow to begin.
 
CRAIGLEA JAZZ – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Rider J. Lambie, (HUMPTY BUMPTY) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that near the 180m he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of LIBERO (S. Kaya) making heavy contact with that runner which became unbalanced and had to be checked. J. Lambie’s licence to ride in races was suspended for period of 13 days to commence immediately up to and including midnight the 24 March 2017.       
 
 LIMBERO – Bumped heavily and checked near the 180m.
 
HUMPTY BUMPTY – Shifted wider on the track approaching the winning post. Rider J. Lambie was advised to make more of an effort to keep his mounts straight in similar circumstances.
 
MONASHEE LASS – Forced wider over the concluding stages.
 
Race 4: ALLAN ROCKLEY MEMORIAL OPEN H’CAP – 1000M
 
RAPT IN RUMBA – Bumped at the start. When asked to explain its poor performance rider N. Nelson explained it was the gelding’s first run from a short let up and was of the opinion it would take benefit from todays run. Trainer R. Nelson whilst disappointed with today’s effort agreed with the rider’s assessment.
 
Race 5: McMAHONS BETTA HOME LIVING BENCHMARK TOP TAX GORDONVALE BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1400M
 
SHORT TERM – Restrained near the 1200m to avoid the heels of another runner.
 
WILD DIVA – Shifted in near the 1200m inconveniencing another runner. Rider E. Cass was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
 
WOLF CREEK – Over raced in the middle stages of the race. Lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
REGAL ROTH – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
CASHED UP BULLY –  Raced wide rounding the home turn.
