Race 1: ALL WHEEL DRIVE CENTRE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200m
 
CAMPANULA – Inspected by the Veterinarian at the barriers and passed fit to start. Slowly into stride. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
CATNAP – Slowly away.
 
EIRIAN – Slowly away. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
SHE’S A RINGO – Raced ungenerously near the turn at the 700m.
 
AESOP – Raced 3 wide for the majority.
 
CHIC SOX – Raced greenly throughout.
 
Race 2: AIRFEST BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000m
 
Trainer Ms. S Molino advised that FLYING IGGY was withdrawn at 6.47am on race morning after being found with a near side eye injury and mild lameness in the off fore. A Veterinary Certificate declaring the gelding unfit to race, as well as photographic evidence, was provided to Stewards.
 
TIERES ROCK – Shifted out on jumping and bumped with another runner. Inclined to hang out passing the 700m.
 
NEW CALEDONIA – Bumped by another runner. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure down the running.
 
MADEMOISELLE ZARIZ – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
App. A Thomson was cautioned in relation to her use of the whip on DAZZLUNA prior to the 100m.
Race 3: SEA ZULU STANDING IN MAREEBA QTIS TWO-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
 
FINE ‘N’ DEVINE – Jumped away awkwardly, shifting in soon after and hampering another runner. Raced greenly for the majority.
 
FIRED UP FLYNN – Was hampered soon after the start by another runner which jumped away awkwardly. Raced greenly throughout. Trainer Mr. T Rowe was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.
 
TEXAS GAL – Began awkwardly. Was racing ungenerously approaching the 800m. Had to be restrained off heels near the 750m when the pace slackened.
 
MICK’S DREAM – Attempted to buck near the 700m. Raced ungenerously from that point. Trainer Mr. T Rowe was advised that the gelding must trial satisfactorily prior to being permitted to race again.
 
EVENING BELL – Raced wide throughout.
 
INSTANT LUTE – Was inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.
 
OUR ATOM – Was restrained after crossing to the lead near the 700m causing a runner following to also be restrained. App. A Thomson was reminded of her obligation to keep riding forward after crossing until she is safely clear of following runners.
 
Race 4: TOLGA MARKETS – FIRST SUNDAY CLASS 6 PLATE 1000m
 
FOUR JAYS – Was slowly away. Raced wide throughout. App. E Cass advised that the gelding which was disappointing had failed to respond to her efforts in running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off fore.
 
CLEVFILLY – Had to be restrained near the 500m when hampered by another runner which shifted out across heels when marginally clear.
 
PRIME SHADOW – Shifted out across heels near the 500m hampering a runner which was improving to its outside. Jockey F Edwards was issued with a severe reprimand under the provisions of AR.137.(a).  
 
Race 5: THE TOLGA HOTEL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1400m
 
STANDFORD – Slowly away.
