Brady Race 1: DISCOUNT DRUG STORE Maiden Plate – 1200 metres1st – MONASHEE LASS, 2nd – ROGUE ALLEY, 3rd – WILD AZ WILL, 4th – FREE PRESS MONASHEE LASS – Began awkwardly. FIRED UP FLYNN – Raced wide in the middle stages. ROGUE ALLEY – Was found to have bled from 1 nostril and was stood down until the completion of a satisfactory gallop over 1000 metres to Stewards satisfaction. Race 2: ATHERTON TABLELAND AIR SERVICE QTIS Benchmark 55 Handicap – 1200 metres1st DAZZLUNA, 2nd FLYING IGGY, 3rd FIZZICALLY WICKED, 4th YIFAN HONEST FRIEND – Slow to begin. NEW CALEDONIA – Began awkwardly. Had a tendency to hang in over the middle stage of the race.Raced wide for the majority of the race. Stewards questioned the riding tactics adopted by apprentice E. Cass by racing forward and wide for most of the journey and finish tailed off. Apprentice Cass stated that her riding instructions were to ride forward and obtain a position on the rail. She further stated that in hindsight she should have taken a trailing position in the early stages. Trainer S. Cooper advised his riding instructions were to obtain a position on the fence if possible and agreed with Ms Cass a better option may have been more beneficial. Stewards advised Ms Cass in their opinion she erred in the early stages of the race and better options would be expected from an apprentice of her experience in similar circumstances. CHIC SOX – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race. Race 3: CENTRAL TYRE SERVICE Class B Handicap – 1000 metres1st MAGNITUDE LAD, 2nd NOVA CHINA, 3rd MY GIRL CHAZ, 4th EVERY FRIDAY GRAVETTIAN – Slow to begin. MY GIRL CHAZ – Slow to begin. EVERY FRIDAY – Bumped another runner at the start. INVERNESS EXPRESS – Bumped another runner at the start. Inconvenienced in the early stages. SECOND TIME AROUND – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously shortly after the start. Raced wide in the early stages. Was found to have bled during the race and would now incur the mandatory ban under the terms of AR53A and was stood down for 3 months. MY GIRL CHAZ – Raced wide in the early stages. ONE IMPERFECTION – Shifted out and bumped another runner in the early stages. GRAVETTIAN – Cast an off front plate during in the race. Race 4: ATHERTON INTERNATIONAL CLUB Benchmark 65 Handicap – 900 metres 1st NEE DE PAPA, 2nd FLYING ONE MORE, 3rd BEYOND LIMITS, 4th PRIME SHADOW PRIME SHADOW – Shifted in bumping another runner at the start. Eased off heels at the 800 metre point. OUR SINGLE DOUBT – Was hampered at the start. Raced wide in the middle stages of the race. AIR OF HEAVEN – Slow to begin. ROSE OF CLARE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race. NEE DE PAPA – Shifted out under pressure over the final 200 metres Race 5: WATTO’S EARTH MOVING Class B Handicap – 1400 metres 1st SHE’S A RINGO, 2nd JOHNNY FIX IT, 3rd EIRIAN, 4th MUSTANG JACK EIRIAN – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race. Rider S. Wilson pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of ARR 137A5A for using the whip more than five occasions prior to the 100 metres and was fined $100. CRAIGLEA ZING – Was slow into stride as the start was effected.
