Inclined to lay in for a short distance rounding the home turn. Race 2: TOLGA LIONS CLUB BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000mAIR OF HEAVEN Very slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Stewards advised Trainer Ms J Ball that a warning would be placed on the marees barrier manners.HOPEFULLY GOOD Raced wide for the majority. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.VINCE THE PRINCE Reluctant to load delayng the start. Trainer Mr B Hunter was advised that a warning would be placed on the marees barrier manners.BIG TOMEE Shifted out across heels near the 100m to obtain clear running.Race 3: VIC TONKIN MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1100mMUSTANG JACK Slowly away.FLINCH Slowly away. Was inclined to lay in rounding the home turn.AESOP Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority. Jockey G Kliese advised that the gelding was inclined to shift in and race ungenerously over the concluding stages.WILD DIVA On straightening became awkward for a short distance when placed in restricted room. Near the 150m had to be restrained from heels of another runner, which was shifting out under pressure.INVERNESS EXPRESS Near the 150m was inclined to shift out under pressure hampering another runner. App A Thomson was issued with a reprimand for careless rising under the provisions of AR137(a).FREE PRESS Jockey K Rockett was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR137A for excessive use of the whip. (8 times prior to 100m). Race 4: ATHERTON HALLORANS LEISURE PARK CLASS B HANDICAP 1400mLOOK FOR ROSIE Slowly away. Jockey S Wilson advised that in his opinion the addition of blinkers to the marees racing gear had played a major part in the marked form improvement as opposed to its previous run at Innisfail. Trainer Mr A Payne agreed with Jockey Wilson and further stated that a number of factors which had significantly delayed the start of last weekks race at Innisfail had unsettled the mare. He was also of the opinion that the increased distance of todayys race had suited the mare. FLYING DUBAI Rider B Thomson advised the mare was inclined to race ungenerously in the early and middle stages refusing to settle after being crossed by another runner near the 1200mSHEES A RINGO When questioned in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance of the mare which raced below market expectations, Jockey G Kliese stated that he found himself further back in the field than anticipated when the pace slackened near the 1100m and despite his urgings to make up ground before the home turn the mare had been unable to respond had failed to run on as expected.MONASHEE LASS Was inclined to lay in when placed under pressure near the 150m.
