GENERAL
The following horses which were all resuming following prolonged absence from racing were inspected by the Veterinarian and cleared to start:
Race 1: HOLT STREET, LITTLE BOOMER
Race 2: LITTLE RED CORVETTE
Race 3: GOD’S REWARD
 
Race 1: TROPICAL PASTURE SEEDS AUSTRALIA MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
VIVI GRANDA – Was slow to begin.
 
ROTHSTOCK’N’BELLA – Began awkwardly. Bumped with another runner soon after jumping.
 
LITTLE BOOMER- Began awkwardly. Bumped with another runner soon after jumping. Was inclined to hang in in the middle stages hampering another runner near the 500m.
 
CHASING FELIX – Fractious behind the barriers dislodging Jockey N Yadi who declared himself free of injury and fit to ride. Began awkwardly. Bumped with another runner soon after jumping. Raced greenly throughout. Was hampered near the 500m by another runner which was inclined to hang in.
 
KEGSY - Began awkwardly. Bumped with another runner soon after jumping. Shifted out near the 500m taking another runner wider.
 
HOLT STREET - Bumped with another runner soon after jumping. Was taken wider near the 500m by another runner. Jockey P Cullen reported the gelding had raced ungenerously throughout. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer Ms. S Molino was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start.
 
LAPELS – Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
NICK’S NIGHT OUT – Attempted to jump a discoloured section of the track near the 750m. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 2: TONKIN STEEL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000m
 
BIG TOMEE – Was slow to begin after jumping awkwardly.
 
LITTLE RED CORVETTE – Was slow to begin. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FIVE STARS – Was slow to begin. Over-raced for a short distance passing the 800m.
 
BELLA SASH - Attempted to jump a discoloured section of the track near the 750m. Raced wide for the majority. A post- race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 3: NOTTIES JAMES CARPET & PEST CONTROL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000m
 
PRINCESS SIDEREUS - Was examined by the Veterinarian  behind the barriers after being kicked by another runner and was a late withdrawal at 2.42pm. Prior to the announcement of Correct Weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on PRINCESS SIDEREUS be refunded in full and further that deductions of 23 cents in the dollar on the face value of all successful win bets and 18 cents in the dollar on the face value of all successful place bets to be applicable.
 
GOD’S REWARD – Was slow to begin. Was hampered when tightened between runners near the 200m. Was inconvenienced when crowded for room near the 100m.
 
CENTENARIO – Was slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority.
 
OUR SINGLE DOUBT – Was slow into stride. Shifted in abruptly under riding near the 100m inconveniencing runners to its inside. App. A Thomson was reprimanded and advised to make greater effort to keep her mount straight in similar circumstances.
 
CAPT’N THUNDERBIRD – Was inclined to hang in passing the 800m.Laid in under pressure near the 200m crowding a runner to its inside. Was inconvenienced near the 100m by another runner which shifted in abruptly.
 
CRAIGLEA MARIAH – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Shifted out marginally near the 200m and again near the 100m causing crowding to a runner to its outside. Jockey S Kaya was reprimanded and advised to make greater effort to keep his mount straight in similar circumstances.
 
Race 4: READY VET BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200m
 
OUR RECIPE – Was slow to begin.
 
BANSHEE JET – Was slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
PENNY GAMBLER – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
FLASH HERO – Had to be restrained off heels near the 450m.
 
Race 5: JUST GORGEOUS BOUTIQUE KURANDA BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1400m
 
DONAVIA – Was slow to begin after being fractious in the barriers.
 
CUT ‘N’ POLISH - Was slow to begin.
 
EKSPRESS KING - Was slow to begin. Was inconvenienced near the 300m.
 
HOTEL HILLTOP – Was restrained when crowded between runners soon after the start.
 
PRESIDENTIAL JOY - Raced 3 wide without cover in the early and middle stages.
 
AMBITIOUS DREAM – Shifted out marginally near the 300m taking another runner wider. Jockey R Payne was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
MONSOON TWISTER – Was taken wider near the 300m and in doing so inconvenienced another runner which was following.
