GENERAL
 
App. N Fazackerley who was unable to attend today’s race meeting was advised that he will be required to provide a Medical Clearance prior to his next race ride. Replacements were made as per Race Day Summary.
 
The thoroughbred LITTLE ROLLER which was resuming following a prolonged absence from racing was inspected by the Veterinarian and was cleared to race.
 
Race 1: THE HEDLEY HOMES BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1100m
 
VINCE THE PRINCE – Began awkwardly.
 
AS YAWOOD – Slowly into stride after bumping with another runner on jumping. Hampered by another runner which hung out rounding the home turn.
 
LENTICULAR – Slowly away after bumping with another runner on jumping.
 
SIR ROLAND – Had to be restrained off heels passing the 600m.
 
FEMALE OFFICER – Raced wide from the 600m.
 
FLAMIN’ SID – Hung out rounding the home turn hampering another runner.
 
Race 2: TABLELAND VETERINARY SERVICE BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000m
 
FLYING ONE MORE – Slowly away.
 
GUNDY STAR – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
FIVE STARS - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
AETHERIUS – Bumped by another runner soon after the start. Was inconvenienced near the 800m by another runner which was laying in.
 
AL HAMEES – Shifted in on jumping and bumped with another runner. Laid in near the 800m inconveniencing another runner.
 
I WANNA BREAK FREE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
DECODED – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CRAIGLEA ALDI – Blundered when in clear running near the 250m hampering a runner which was following. Raced wide for the majority. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
POWER OF DIVAS – Was hampered near the 250m by another runner which blundered.
 
Race 3: SAVANNAH CAMPERS & TRAILERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
 
LAPELS – Was reluctant to load. Trainer Mr. P Rowe was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. Following the declaration of Correct Weight Jockey S Kaya advised Stewards that the gelding’s starting barrier had not opened simultaneously with those of the other runners. Head-on footage of the start confirmed this was the case and that LAPELS had been marginally slowly away. Jockey Kaya was admonished and instructed to report any such future incident immediately on returning to scale.
 
LITTLE BOOMER – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Trailed the field for the majority. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
POETIC ATTACKS – Shifted out and away from another runner near the 800m inconveniencing a runner to its outside.
 
FRED’S GIFT – Was inconvenienced near the 800m by another runner which shifted out. Raced wide for the majority.
 
MISS DONATELLA – Shifted out abruptly soon after jumping. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 4: CENTRAL TYRE SEVICE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400m
 
TWICE THE STYLE – Was marginally slowly away after starting barrier opened fractionally late.
 
IN KOBE – Was unable to muster pace in the early and middle stages.
 
CASHED UP BULLY – Was inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages.
 
THERMOGENIC – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Was inclined to lay in for a short distance passing the 800m.
 
RANGERZANE - Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Shifted in and away from another runner near the 800m.
 
BACKTOSPEC – Shifted in near 200m the inconveniencing another runner. App. S Gittos was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
MY BOY ALEX – Was inconvenienced by another runner which shifted in near the 200m.
 
Race 5: BARRON VALLEY HOTEL/LIQUOR LEGENDS/XXXX ATHERTON CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1800m
 
CLASSIC RECORDS – Fractious in the barrier.
 
BOLD AVENUE – Was marginally slowly away after starting barrier opened fractionally late. Had to be restrained near the 1500m when another runner shifted in. Raced wide in the middle stages.
 
RANKED – Was slowly away.
 
CRIMSON HALO – Was slowly away. Raced wide for the majority.
 
HOW CAN I HELP – Shifted in near the 1500m hampering another runner. Jockey F Edwards was severely reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a). Was held up for clear running passing the 200m.
 
DAZZLING PRIDE – Was inclined to shift ground under pressure in the home straight. Jockey M Abe was advised to stop riding and straighten his mount in similar circumstances.
