Replacement as per Stewards Race Day Summary. Race 1: MIDWAY BUTCHERS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m LA SHAFT – Reluctant to load. Slowly away. Trainer K Allender was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners. OB LA DI – Slowly away. BATTLE MOUNTAIN – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority. LITTLE BOOMER – Slowly into stride. Restrained off heels near the 800m when inclined to lay in. EVIE CAT – Jockey W D’avila reported the filly was inclined hang out for the majority, Inconvenienced another runner on straightening. Trainer Mr P Rowe was advised a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners. Jockey W D’avila was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m. Race 2: BLENNERS RAW MATERIALS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP (1) 1000m BITTY – Fractious in the barrier. Shifted out on jumping, hampering another runner. Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. MBWALI – Slowly away after being hampered on jumping. TESTATIME – Attempted to buck shortly after the start. Trainer Mr M Dale was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners. ELITE JET – Was inconvenienced when crowded between runners for some distance in the middle stages. RESIDENTIAL JOY – Raced wide for the majority. ROTHSTOCK’N’BELLA – Raced wide for the majority. Race 3: BLENNERS RAW MATERIALS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP (2) 1000m OTTO’S BROTHER – Stood flat-footed as the barriers opened losing considerable ground. Trainer Mr G Teal was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. CELESTIAL JEWEL - Shifted out abruptly passing the 350m when awkwardly placed taking another runner wider. Jockey F Edwards was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a). Was inclined to shift ground under pressure in the home straight. ROSE OF KALONI – Was taken wider near the 350m by another runner which shifted out abruptly and in doing so inconvenienced a runner to its outside. HE’S TERRYFIED – Inconvenienced on straightening by another runner which had been taken wider on the track. KAP IT OFF – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority. Was inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Prior to declaration of correct weight connections of KAP IT OFF which was placed 2nd made application to view the Steward’s home straight patrol footage. After doing so connections elected not to lodge an objection and correct weight was declared on the Judge’s numbers. Race 4: CREATIVE EVENTS OPEN HANDICAP 1000m CRAIGLEA ALDI – Began awkwardly bumping another runner. HOW CAN I HELP – Was bumped by another runner on jumping. EXCEEDINGLY COOL – Shifted in near the 750m tightening the running of GREY SAMBUCCA. Jockey M Abe was severely reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a). Was inclined to shift ground under pressure in the home straight. GREY SAMBUCCA – Raced ungenerously in the middle stages. Had to be restrained when tightened for running near the 750m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer Mr L Smerdon was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding again being permitted to start in a race. OUR BOY PENDLES – Fractious in the barrier. Raced wide throughout. Rider Ms. B Thomson advised that in her opinion the gelding would be better suited at distances longer than that of today’s race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer Mr A Pateman was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to start in a race. Race 5: RACING QUEENSLAND QTIS 2YO HANDICAP 1100m KODAI – Was inclined to over race in the early stages. Shifted ground under pressure in the home straight. GREYSERENE – Shifted in abruptly on jumping hampering another runner. SHES MAGANDA – Was hampered on jumping. Race 6: CAIRNS HARDWARE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400m STRONG WILL – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages. Raced wide for the majority. SHOT OF COURAGE – Was inclined to over-race in the middle stages.
