General:
Stewards today inquired into an official complaint from trackwork rider Ms L. Morrison against jockey Ms R. Payne, in relation to an alleged incident at the Atherton racecourse Monday 6 January 2020.
After hearing evidence from Ms Morrison, Ms Payne and trainer Mr R. Ludwig, Ms Payne pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR 228 (b) in that she had engaged in misconduct by way of unsavoury and abusive language towards Ms Morrison in the presence of another licensee. Ms Payne was fined the sum of $400.00 with $200.00 being suspended under the provisions AR 283 (5) in that she does not reoffend under a similar rule for a period of 2 years.
A further charge was issued against Ms L. Morrison, who subsequently pleaded guilty under the provisions of AR 228 (b) in that she had engaged in misconduct by way of text messages, which resulted in unsavoury and abusive language being used towards Ms R. Payne in the presence of another licensee on the morning of 6 January 2020. Ms Morrison, was fined the sum of $400.00 with $200.00 being suspended under the provisions AR 283 (5) in that she does not reoffend under a similar rule for a period of 2 years.
Race 1 – BOTTLEMART MALANDA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Benvenuti – Slowly away.
Filly Slater – Slowly away. Hung out in the early stages making the 700m turn wide. Raced greenly throughout. Trainer Mr. R Moller advised it is now the intention to spell the filly, nonetheless he was advised a warning would be placed on its racing manners.
Loud ‘n’ Loose – Began very awkwardly shifting in making heavy contact with another runner and became unbalanced. Hung in under pressure in the home straight despite the efforts of App. K Swaffer inconveniencing another runner near the 200m
Cupid’s Son – Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping.
Mac Me Mate – Shifted out soon after the start bumping another runner. Raced wide in the early stages. Inconvenienced near the 200m by another runner which hung in.
Diamzou – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
Race 2 –1911 RESTAURANT CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m
 
Infinite Advantage – Slow to begin.
 
Kalelarga – Began awkwardly losing its footing in both hind legs.Hung out rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be sore in both hind legs. Trainer N Homann, was advised a veterinary
clearance must be provided prior to the horse being permitted to race again.
 
Aguias – Raced wide for the majority.
 
City Secrets - Raced wide in the early stages.

Race 3 – THE ENGLISH FAMILY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000m
High Dive – Began awkwardly.
Dancing Diva – Began awkwardly losing ground.
Golden Charles – Began awkwardly shifting out making contact with another runner.
Ser Ser Schon – Bumped heavily and taken out by another runner which shifted out on jumping. Jockey P Romeo reported the mare hung out in running. Trainer Ms. R Schluenz advised she intends to implement a gear change prior to its next start.
Strong Will - Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping and lost ground.
Race 4 – TOM ENGLISH MEMORIAL RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP 1200m
 
Clout – Shifted out abruptly on jumping inconveniencing runners to its outside.
 
Watch Me Dazzle Em – Inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Arnhem Beauty – Inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Rangerzane - Inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Irish Heart – Lost ground after being inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Elite Jet – Lost ground after being inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Stella Effort – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Arnhem Beauty – Shifted out under pressure near the 250m.
 
Following the running of this event the track rating was downgraded to a Good 4 following an earlier shower.

Corinth – Began awkwardly losing ground. Raced wide for the majority.
Party Pies – Over-raced in the early stages.
Zero Secrets – Raced wide for the majority.
Regal Embrace – Raced wide for the majority.
Power of Divas - Raced wide for the majority.
Race 6 – THE BIG PUB MALANDA HOTEL MOTEL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400m
 
Super Mario -Began awkwardly losing ground.
Royal Supreme – Slowly away.
Lake Hillier – Over-raced for a short distance in the early stages.
Race 7 – MALANDA HOTEL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400m
Accordian - Began awkwardly losing ground.
Shot of Courage – Slowly away. Wide in the early and middle stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer Mr. S Cooper advised it would now be his intention that the gelding be retired from racing. Nonetheless, Mr. Cooper was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to its next race start.
In Kobe - Wide in the early and middle stages.
Riverside Kitten - Wide in the early and middle stages.
Shunter – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
