Jockey S Wilson who was unable to attend today’s race meeting due to personal reasons was replaced as per summary.
Race 1. PEANUT COMPANY AUSTRALIA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
 
Amelia’s Rainbow – Lost ground after blundering on jumping. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Greyserene – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority.
 
La Shaft – Slowly away.
 
Lord Byron - Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Sassi Assassin – Restrained off heels near the 1000m.
 
Northern Great - Restrained off heels near the 900m.
 
Uptown Toff – Over-raced in the middle stages.

Race 2. TROPICAL PASTURE SEEDS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400m
 
Tunnel Rat – Fractious in the mounting yard. Trainer S D’Avila was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s pre-race manners.
 
Window Seat – Slowly into stride.
 
Purrfectionist – Eased out of race near the 1200m after attempting to buck. Trainer M Dale was advised the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to next race start.
 
Trigger – Over-raced when crossed by another runner passing the 1200m.
 
Sunny Sailor – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 3. JMB BUILDING GROUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200m
 
Cool Attitude – Began very awkwardly, making contact with the barrier partition. Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
Labrusco – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
Mista Busy - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
Buoyancy – Slowly into stride.
 
Magic Search – Restrained in the  early stages to obtain a position closer to the inside running rail.
 
Following the running of this race the track rating was downgraded to a Soft 7.
 
Race 4. THE LINDSAY 'PHAT BOY' STYLES BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1100m
 
The Frontier - Began awkwardly after Jockey N Yadi lost his nearside iron on jumping, taking some distance to regain it. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Evie’s Pearl – Slowly away. Shifted out to avoid the heels of another runner near the 150m inconveniencing another runner to its outside.
 
Bold Expectations – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Toff Rocks – Shifted out near the 300m hampering runners to its outside. Jockey M. Abe was severely reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a). Hung in for the majority of the home straight inconveniencing a runner to its inside. Trainer A. Patterson was advised the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to next race start.
 
Flying Dubai – Hampered near the 300m by a runner which shifted out.
 
Scaramouche – Hampered near the 300m by a runner which shifted out. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Indy Showgirl – Shifted ground marginally outwards under pressure near the 150m.
 
Trust Me Gus – Was inconvenienced near the 150m when racing tight between runners which were both shifting ground at the time.
 
Race 5. BARRON VALLEY HOTEL & BUNDY RUM NATIONAL JOCKEY CELEBRATION DAY OPEN HANDICAP 1000m
Stewards acceded to a request from trainer M Lee to withdraw Platinum Tycoon from this event due to the downgrading of the track rating. Time of scratching 2:40pm.
Centro Superior – Slowly away.
Jockey S. Sheargold was advised to exercise more care after permitting Hidden In Heaven to shift in after passing the winning post tightening the running of Saxophone (F. Edwards).
