Race 1: ALL WHEEL DRIVE CENTRE CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
Correct weight was delayed when the 2nd placegetter, Jockey L. Morrison (DO IT FOR VIV)) requested to view the photo finish print against the 1ST placegetter SOUL SEARCHER (R. Shred).  After viewing the photo finish print, Ms Morrison advised that she was satisfied with the judge’s decision.
 
STYLE LINE – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Stood flat footed at the start and lost considerable ground. Shifted wider to improve leaving the 500 metres. Trainer A. Holmes was advised he must provide a further barrier certificate for the mare prior to it being permitted to race again.
   
PAMILL – Delayed the start further when broke through front of the barriers. After being quickly restrained and undergoing a veterinary examination when arriving back at the barriers, was cleared to start. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Trainer R. Chillemi was advised a warning would be placed on its barrier manners.  

FILLY SLATER – Raced wide in the early stages.     
   
SOUL SEARCHER – Hung out for the majority of the race and shifted wider in the home straight. Trainer R. Chillemi was advised a warning would be placed on the mares racing manners.  

Race 2: SERRA DRILLING COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
LUSHAN – Slow to begin.   
 
TYCOON THUNDER – Momentarily steadied when crossed by SYLVESTER shortly after the start. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.    
 
SYLVESTER – Shifted in shortly after the start momentarily hampering TYCOON THUNDER. Rider L. Morrison was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.     
 
THE GROOM – Raced wide for the majority of the race.A post-race veterinaryexamination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this is the second occasion on which THE GROOM has bled, it will now incur a lifetime ban from racing. AR79(6).
 
Race 3: GERIA BRAHMANS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
AMUTHON – Slow to begin.
 
MCKENZIE WILL DO – Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
Race 4: COTTAGE CAFE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1400 Metres
 
MONTEMURRO – Shifted out near the 300 metres bumping SWANKY SUE on two occasions, placing that runner in restricted room to the inside of HALF EVIL. Rider K. Swaffer was severely reprimanded and reminded of her obligation to be clear when shifting ground.

SWANKY SUE – Bumped and placed in restricted room near the 300 metres and was restrained.
 
HALF EVIL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 5: MAREEBA SHEDS & GAS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1400 Metres
 
RED DENARO – Stewards accepted the explanation for the late declaration of K. Rockett as the rider of the gelding.
 
SANDY TOES – Slow to begin.
 
SMOKIN' TOMMY – Slow to begin.Restrained near the 700 metres placed in restricted room.
 
SOGNI – Shifted in near the 700 metres placing SMOKIN’ TOMMY in restricted room and having to be restrained. Rider M. Abe was severely reprimanded and advised to be clear when shifting ground.
 
FRONT PAGE NEWS – Lost its off-hind plate during in the race.
 
Race 6: TOLGA HOTEL CLASS 3 PLATE – 1400 Metres
 
SHIFTY SHAMUS –Over-raced in the early and middle stages.Jockey M. Abe was reprimanded for use of the whip prior to the 100m under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) when he struck his mount on six occasions, which is one more than is permitted.
 
VALIDAR –Wide early. Rider A. Thomson advised stewards on returning to scale, it was not her intention to improve to the lead in the middle stages however the gelding took charge of her and refused to settle.
 
AROHA TE MANA – Improved onto heels near the 850 metres and was restrained.  
 
LOVE EXPRESS – Restrained off heels near the 850 metres.
 
Race 7: FLYNN CIVIL OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 Metres
 
ROCK SPUR – Slow to begin.
 
HELMAZ – Wide early.
 
COOL ATTITUDE –Jockey S. Pawsey was reprimanded for use of the whip prior to the 100m under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) when he struck his mount on seven occasions, which is two more than is permitted.
