Exsensible –Was declared a late scratching at 12.00pm when no suitable rider was available to fulfil the engagement. Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into this matter until further information becomes available.
 
Sonic Light – Fractious in the barriers.
 
The Wallet – Shifted out on jumping bumping WAVE THE WAND. Over raced in the early stages. Inconvenienced near the 250 metres.
 
Wave The WanD – Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
Eartha – Laid out under pressure near the 250 metres inconveniencing THE WALLET
 
Bella Bianca – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Laid out under pressure over the final 100 metres.
 
Heartsareroman – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Russian Rose – Laid out under pressure over the final 100 metres.

Nazorian – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early and middle stages.

Race 3:CENTRAL TYRE SERVICE OPEN HANDICAP 1200 Metres
 
Investor – Was declared a late scratching at 12pm when no rider was available to fulfil the engagement. Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into this matter until further information becomes available.
 
Bonython – Was declared a late scratching at 12pm when no rider was available to fulfil the engagement. Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into this matter until further information becomes available.
 
Crowning Moment – Blundered soon after jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced in restricted room between runners near the 300 metres. Shifted out under pressure approaching the winning post.
 
Missile Thunder – Tightened between runners soon after the start. Raced three wide without cover for the majority. Bumped heavily by another runner approaching the winning post.
 
Strategist – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
Call Me Mo – Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages. When continuing to shift in approaching the winning post made heavy contact with MISSILE THUNDER which shifted out marginally causing both horses to become unbalanced and almost dislodging apprentice T. Leslight. Apprentice T. Leslight (CAL ME MO) was advised to stop riding and straight his mount in similar circumstances.
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing jockey L. Morrison (CROWNING MOMENT) which finished second to view the photo finish print. After viewing the photo finish print, she was satisfied with the judge’s decision and correct weight was given on the judges semaphored numbers. 
 
Race 4:TOLGA HOTEL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400 Metres
 
Wong Way – Slow to begin.
 
Irresistible Force – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
Rivalon – Unable to muster pace in the early stages.
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing jockey L. Morrison (HEADLANDER) which finished fourth to view the photo finish print. After viewing the photo finish print, she was satisfied with the judge’s decision and correct weight was given on the judges semaphored numbers. 
 
Race 5: BARRON VALLEY HOTEL/LIQUOR LEGENDS/XXXX COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUAL/ATHERTON CUP 2000 Metres
 
Choir Boy – Over raced early stages.
 
Toff Rocks – Laid in down running on the first occasion.
 
Secret Location – Raced wide from the 1200 metres.
 
Fifth Position (IRE) – Over raced for a short distance in the early stages and again in the middle stages.
 
Two Smokin Barrels – Eased out of the race over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination found the gelding to have injured its near side front tendon. Trainer S. Cooper was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance for TWO SMOKIN BARRELS prior to its next race start or trial.
