Superstitions – Raced greenly down the home straight.
 
Cool Story – Laid out under pressure down the home straight.
 
Race 2:TONKIN STEEL QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 Metres
 
Heartsareroman– Was declared a late scratching 1.07pm when refused to load. All monies invested on HEARTSAREROMAN were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to successful bets placed on the event prior to the time of scratching:
 
7 cents in the dollar for the win
9 cents in the dollar for the place
 
Trainer A. Paterson was advised HEARTSAREROMAN must obtain one further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.   
Barmera– Shifted in shortly after the start inconveniencing FAST AS STEEL. Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
Fast As Steel– Slow away. Inconvenienced soon after jumping.
 
Zoraydah (NZ)– Raced greenly throughout the race.
 
Race 3:WATTO’S EARTHMOVING BM50 HANDICAP 1400 Metres
 
Rose Of Athens – Slow away.
 
Irresistible Force – Racedwide in the early and middle stages. Over raced in the middle stages. Shifted out under pressure passing the 100 metres inconveniencing MISS FUBULICIOUS. Rider N. Day was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
Miss Fubulicious – Restrained off heels near the 1000 metres. Had to be restrained near the 100 metres when disappointed for a run.
 
Deal An Ace – Shifted in under pressure passing the 100 metres inconveniencing MISS FUBULICIOUS. Apprentice L. Guernier was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
Race 4:ALWYN ‘MAL’ DAHL MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP 1000 Metres
 
Super Art – Began awkwardly and shifted in making heavy contact with WAVE THE WAND. Had to be restrained after improving on to heels near the 650 metres.
 
Autumn Bloom – Shifted out abruptly after beginning awkwardly and losing ground.
 
Wave The Wand – Inconvenienced soon after jumping.
 
Little Lover – Raced greenly in the early stages.
 
Eartha – Raced wide for most of the race.
 
Russian Rose – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: FNQ WATER BM60 HANDICAP 1000 Metres
 
Five Bulls – Slow into stride.
 
Calm Is Power – Over raced in the early and middle stages. Wide throughout
 
Bloomin' Ripper – Slow into stride.
