GENERAL:
 
On Saturday afternoon, following some heavy showers, certain sections of the track were deemed unsafe for racing and, in consultation with the Club, the decision was made to transfer the meeting until Sunday. The rescheduled meeting was to have commenced at 11.30am however due to the QAS Ambulance not being available until approximately 12.45pm, the races were delayed until the ambulance was on course.
 
As a result of the transfer of meeting, Jockey D Brown was unavailable and replacements made as per Stewards summary.
 
Stewards exercised discretion to allow some riders to ride overweight.
 
Race 1: Capricorn Plumbing & Building Supplies BM 55 Handicap- 1000 metres
 
Jockey D Rewald was the rider of RAPID QUALO and J. Rudd the rider of SPECK OF GOLD.
 
STARGRILL BOY- Jockey T Chambers was the replacement rider. Began awkwardly and lost some ground.
 
GO SAI- Began awkwardly and jumped out onto SUNFAST.
 
SISTER WHISKEY- Commenced to lose ground from the 600 metres.
 
Stewards inquired into an incident near the 150 metres in which GO SAI (G Watson) shifted in and caused SUNFAST (App Q Krogh) to be tightened and ease. Jockey Watson was reprimanded.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: Rooney’s Stockcamp Saddlery Maiden Plate- 1100 metres 
 
BOLD TRAVELLER- Began awkwardly.
 
SHE’S A BIT FANCY- Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover. Rider reported the mare hung out in the middle stages.
 
PACIFIC PUZZLE- Began awkwardly.
 
 
Race 3: D Gray Grader & Loader Hire Open Handicap- 1200 metres  
 
CRAWFISH- Began awkwardly and shifted in onto HOLEY GADOLEY.
 
HOLEY GADOLEY- Hampered at the start and lost ground.
 
Apprentice D Graham was fined $200 for use of her whip on 5 more time than permissible and on at least two times consecutively.
 
Race 4: Barcaldine Welding Works BM 45 Handicap- 1300 metres  
 
SOUTHERN ALBATROSS and HIGHWAY CHILD- Remained scratched due to no available rider.
 
WINDSOR CASTLE- Declared a late scratching due to no available rider.
 
SPURSYN and UNO JOKER- Made contact at the start.
 
ITTY GITTY- A little slow to begin.
 
HIDDEN CHIEF- Fractious in the barrier. Began awkwardly, threw its head in the air and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout. Trainer reported the horse had returned to enclosure with its tongue over the bit.
 
Race 5: O’Donnell’s 4 Square BM 60 Handicap- 1300 metres      
 
PARANA- Began awkwardly.
 
FINNIGAN’S FOLLY and WAYS AND MEANS- Made contact at the start.
