Race 1: EMERALD CENTRAL FAMILY SUPPORT BM 45 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
AARHUS – Had dislodged two plates en route to the track which were not able to be replaced. Raced ungenerously throughout and jockey C. Bryen stated the gelding resented the kick back and was reluctant to stretch out.
 
FINNIGAN’S FOLLY – Slow into stride and travelled wide for the majority.
 
Race 2: LUKE WREN BM 65 HANDICAP - 1000 metres 
 
Apprentice N. Fazackerley was permitted by Stewards to claim only 2.5kg of his 4kg claim on RHYTHM NATION.
 
SPURRED UP – Reared just prior to the gates opening.
 
RHYTHM NATION – Slow into stride and travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the race. Lay in down the home straight and had to be straightened on several occasions.
 
GO SAI – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages and was contacted by an outside runner down the home straight.
 
CRYSTAL MATES – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the event.
 
Race 3: BARCALDINE AGED CARE MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres  
 
WICKED HUNDRED – Jumped away awkwardly injuring jockey S. McGovern’s knee. Jockey S. McGovern was cleared to continue riding.
 
WICKED JESS – Raced greenly and trainer B. Dixon stated would gain experience from the run and would now be freshened up.
 
 
Race 4: MARK WREN BM 55 HANDICAP - 1300 metres  
 
SAMMY SPARROW – Slow away and travelled wide for the majority with cover.
 
ITALIAN AFFAIR – Slipped at the start losing ground.
 
SINAMORE – Slow away and travelled wide for the majority with no cover.
 
 
Race 5: 2017 WREN CUP – RUGBY LEAGUE OPEN HANDICAP - 1300 metres      
 
SMART PATROL – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
BANSHAN – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the event.
