Race 1: THANK YOU BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres
 
GOLDEN BEAVER – Jumped away awkwardly contacting an inside runner, slow into stride and raced greenly throughout.
 
I AM A LAD – Contacted at the start.
 
DEFYING LUCK – Lay in down the home straight and was corrected on several occasions. Jockey R. Hancock stated the gelding is still very green and they may look at a gear change prior to next start.
 
 
Race 2: BARCALDINE WELDING WORKS OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres 
 
SPECIFIC CHOICE – Knuckled at the start nearly dislodging jockey M. Haley, then travelled wide throughout.
 
WICKED WOODY – Slow to begin.
 
BUSH CAVIAR – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
A DEPENDANT – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the race.
 
 
 
Race 3: CAPRICORN PLUMBING & BUILDING SUPPLIES QTIS BM 45 HANDICAP - 1300 metres  
 
GESUNDHEIT – Jumped away awkwardly contacting an outside runner.
 
ONE UP – Knuckled over at the start almost dislodging jockey J. Lait then contacted by an inside runner and travelled wide for the majority.
 
ROCK ON SKYE – Slow to begin and travelled wide for the majority.
 
WAR HORSE – Travelled wide for much of the event.
 
BUNDABURRA – Shifted ground approaching the 300m contacting an outside runner.
 
I KAN CONQUER – Contacted near the 300m when an inside runner shifted ground.
 
 
Race 4: BARCALDINE OLD BOYS CLASS 6 PLATE - 1300 metres  
 
VICTORIAN CROWN – Jumped away awkwardly losing ground.
 
ARMANI PRINCE – Slow into stride.
 
ZAHA DREAM – Jumped away outwardly and then lay in down the home straight.
 
 
Race 5: DOUG GESCH MEMORIAL BM 50 HANDICAP - 1600 metres      
 
WILD GODSON – Slow to begin.
 
MY SISTER SUE – Slow to begin and jockey P. Romeo stated the mare seemed reluctant to stretch out.
