There was a slight delay to the start of the first race as many of the jockeys and apprentices inspected the track on foot prior to racing.

Race 1: QTIS BM 55 HANDICAP – 1010 metres

MISHANI WRANGLER – Travelled wide from the 600m.

BOLD SAM – Stood flat footed in the barriers with his head low and turned and did not jump. Trainer J. Babarovich was advised that BOLD SAM would be required to trial to the satisfactory of stewards prior to any future race start.

OUTSPOKEN – Stood flat footed as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Trainer R. Williams was advised that a warning would be placed on the record of OUTSPOKEN.

PLENTY OF WHITT – Reared prior to the gates opening. Slow into stride.


Race 2: QTIS BM 55 HANDICAP - 1010 metres

CHARLES – Eased near the 800m when an outside runner shifted ground. Trainer M. Oates was advised that a warning would be placed on the record of CHARLES for his barrier manners.

JAZZY’S ANGEL – Approaching the 800m was allowed to shift in momentarily inconveniencing runners to the inside. Apprentice D. McGillivrary was reminded of his responsibilities when shifting ground.

LET’S GO CHAMP – Inconvenienced approaching the 800m and had to be eased when an outside runner shifted ground. Trainer K. McGovern was advised that a warning would be placed on the record of LET’S GO CHAMP for his barrier manners.

MS WICKED NICCI – Slow to begin.

CLASSIC BEAU – Late scratching at the barrier when the gelding refused to load. Trainer P O’Toole was advised CLASSIC BEAU would be required to trial to the satisfactory of stewards prior to any future race start.

MISS SIZZ – Failed to muster early speed.

PETITE ELLE – Travelled wide for much of the race.


Race 3: CLASS 6 PLATE - 1110 metres

FLEWSHOT – Slow to begin.

VALFIERNO – Travelled wide for much of the race with no cover.

ARCHADE – Lay in over the concluding stages under pressure.

SLAYDEM – Travelled wide in the early stages.


Race 4: MAIDEN PLATE – 1210 metres

THE MARSHALL – Travelled wide from the 600m to gain clear running.

HER OPTION – Awkward to begin.

SASSY STYLE – Jumped away outwardly.

SHE DEVIL – Travelled wide in the middle stages of the race.

KELSEY LAKE – Slow to begin.

PERCY PICKLES – Travelled wide in the home straight to gain clear running. Upon returning to the mounting yard in was noted the gelding had a loose race plate and it was removed.


Race 5: CLASS B HANDICAP – 1210 metres

GREY FALCON – A late scratching as jockey M. Haley was dislodged from the gelding on route to the barriers when he contacted another runner. He was treated by ambulance officials on track causing a delay to the start of the race. He was advised a medical clearance would be required prior to riding again.

BELLA’S BROTHER – Travelled 3 deep for much of the race.

TOO MUCH LIP – Jumped awkwardly and outwards.

BABYLON EXPRESS – Slow to begin. On pulling up after the race apprentice D. McGillirvary was dislodged from his mount. He was attended to by ambulance officers and cleared to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.

Race 6: CLASS B HANDICAP – 1210 metres

SHERIFF KENDAL – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.

CHEEKY CHOPS – Lay in over the concluding stages under pressure.

SURPRISE SELECTION – Slow to begin.

TIME FOR US – Slow to begin.

SPALLINA – Travelled wide for much of the race.


Race 7: OPEN HANDICAP – 1310 metres

FRENCH HUSSLER – Travelled wide for much of the race.

HEROISM – Slow to begin.

HUNTER ISLAND – Travelled wide for much of the race.

MEDIA VITA – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.

ZUKAZ – Jumped away awkwardly.

POTEMKIN – Slow to begin.

CLASSIC WIND – Slow to begin.

TURKEY BEACH – Travelled wide with cover.

Race 8: BM 60 HANDICAP – 1610 metres

SHOW’EM – Travelled wide for much of the race with no cover.

STYLISH LUCK – Eased to a rear position shortly after the start.

GOLDSAY – Travelled wide in the middle and concluding stages.
