Cullen Race 1: THANK YOU MAY DAY COMMITTEE CATERING CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1000 metres COUPE DE VILLE – A late scratching at 12pm as no rider available. ROCK PAPER SIZZLE - Stewards accepted the reason from trainer for the late declaration of rider B Richardson. DONE IT AGAIN – Heavily contacted at the start and eased to release pressure from the outside shortly after the start. ANOTHER EPISODE – Approaching the 850m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of OUR GIRL TAMIYA, which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice Jockey T Townsend, rider of OUR GIRL TAMIYA, was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) and was reminded of her obligations Travelled wide for much of the race. OUR GIRL TAMIYA -- Jumped away awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the early stages. Travelled wide for much of the race and laid in over the concluding stages when placed under pressure. ROCK PAPER SIZZLE – Jumped outwards contacting ANOTHER EPIOSDE, travelled wide in the early stages. Jockey Brooke Richardson pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(6)(a) in that she used her whip on two occasions forward of the shoulder in the vicinity of the neck & was fined $500. JAGRAP – Travelled wide for much of the race. NICKSY BOY – Approaching the 800m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of ZEBONET, which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice Jockey A Ross, rider of ZEBONET, was found guilty of a charge under the provisions of AR131(a) in that she allowed her mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear of NICKSY BOY resulting in that runner having to be restrained to avoid heels. Apprentice Ross’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of eight days to commence midnight 10April 2021 and to conclude midnight 18 April 2021. PLENTY OF WHITT – Fractious prior to the start and jumped away awkwardly. Race 2: COME RACE WITH US BM 65 HANDICAP 1100 metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight jockey Paul Randall, rider of ZENDAYE, requested to view the photo finish print for 3rd & 4th placings. After viewing the print Jockey Randall was satisfied with the judge’s placings and stewards declared correct weight. HAZAR – Hampered on jumping away. ZENDAYE – Contacted at the start. THE INFLAMER – Slipped on jumping and came out awkwardly contacting ZENDAYE then slow into stride. JUZTAPOSED – Travelled wide in the middle & late stages, raced greenly down the straight being corrected on several occasions. YOU KNOW THE ONE – Slow to muster speed. KALMAR – Jumped away awkwardly. Jockey Steven Galvin was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted. BOUND TO ME – Hampered on jumping away. Laid out during the early stages of the event. BETTER THAN GOLD – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages. Race 3: TAB TOK CUP 1 MAY 2021 QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres The photo finish equipment failed for the running of race three and placings were given on the judge’s decision. ASBURY PARK – Fractious in the gates and reared on several occasions prior to jumping. Raced wide throughout the event. MY BYE – Finished tailed off. Trainer D Rewald reported the gelding began well in the early stages but failed to run on when placed under pressure. He added MY BYE would be leaving his stable. TANTALISING MISS – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride. VON’S HEROINE – Jumped away awkwardly. MON TOUT – Inconvenienced on a number of occasions by another runner’s whip in the home straight making the filly difficult to ride out. MY FIXATION – Travelled wide for much of the race with cover. Race 4: MAY YOUR EASTER BE EGG-CELLENT CLASS 3 PLATE 1300 metres ADDOCARR – Contacted at the start. ROCK’N’ROLL BOBBY – Travelled wide for much of the race. Jockey Ross Tilley was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race. JERRY ZANDA – Hampered on jumping away and as a result was slow to begin, MUSIC AWARD – Over raced in the early stages. SIZZALATING – Passed a pre-race veterinary inspection after becoming loose in the tie up area and golloping around for several minutes prior to the first race. Jumped outwards heavily contacting JERRY ZANDA. GREY FALCON – Jumped away awkwardly. ZORRO MACHO – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages. SCOTTABEE – Jumped outwards contacting ADDOCARR. Race 5: HAPPY EASTER EVERY BUNNY OPEN HANDICAP 1300 metres The running of race 5 was brought forward 10 minutes due to the impending weather.
