Cullen GENERAL Due to predicted sultry weather conditions this race meeting was conducted within the provisions of the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat Policy. Race 1: SERG PELIZZARI MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1300 metres BUMPER BAR – Travelled wide for much of the race. Jockey J. Rudd reporting the gelding hung in for much of the race. THE LANDING – Placed awkwardly on heels for several strides approaching the 900m. OSHUN – Jumped outwards and travelled wide in the early and middle stages. SERRATALLI – Slow into stride and travelled wide in the latter stages to gain clear running. UNLEISHA – Jumped awkwardly and travelled wide for much of the race. Race 2: BARCY RUGBY LEAGUE GOLDEN OLDIES BM 45 HANDICAP 1000 metres There was a slight delay to correct weight as jockey G. Steele made application for her runner MISSY EM to be declared a non-runner. After taking submissions and reviewing the patrol footage correct weight was given on the judge’s numbers BEGIN – Jumped inwards at the start. Held up for clear running over the final stages. BETTER NOT BLINK – Contacted heavily at the start when runners jumped awkwardly either side, then travelled wide for much of the race. MISSY EM – Reared as the gates opened losing ground. A warning was placed on the record of MISSY EM for her barrier behaviour. BOLD ADMIRAL – Jumped outwards contacting BETTER NO BLINK then travelled wide for much of the race. OUR GIRL TAMIYA – Unruly behind the barriers and lashed out at the clerk of the course. A warning was placed on the record of OUR GIRL TAMIYA for her pre-race manners. Jumped awkwardly contacting an inside runner and travelled wide in the early stages. Race 3: COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFER OPEN HANDICAP 1000 metres ZUKAZ – Travelled wide for much of the race. BEWARE – Travelled wide in the early stages. HAZAR – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race. Race 4: BARCY RUGBY LEAGUE GOLDEN OLDIES GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200 metres PROVOCATIVE MAN – Contacted over the concluding stages when an outside runner shifted ground. CANNY SKATE – Momentarily tightened near the 850m. ORDESA – Slow into stride. WON CAPILANO – Underwent a pre-race veterinary check prior to racing and was cleared to race. MISS SIZZ – Lay in over the concluding stages and had to be straightened. LESLIE JAMES – Slow to begin. Lightly contacted at the start and travelled wide for much of the race. HOT CHOCOLATE – Lay in rounding the first turn. Race 5: BARCY SPARKY “DOUG GESCH MEMORIAL” BM 60 HANDICAP 1600 metres JERRY ZANDER – Slow to begin. PAST TENSE – Slow into stride and failed to maintain contact with the main field in the early and middle stages. DO I HAVE TO – Travelled wide for much of the race.
