SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Blackall 15/10/2022, Jockey Brooke Richardson pleaded guilty to a charge under the terms of AR132(5) for use of whip 15 or more times in a race when riding REAL HUSSEY in Race 5 the FOREST PARK SANTA GERTRUDIS Class 3 Plate 1400. Jockey Brooke Richardson was suspended for excessive use of the whip on 19 occasions (4 more than permissible). Her license to ride in races was suspended for 9 days to commence on 30th October until 07th November 2022 inclusive.
 
 
Race 1: BARKY RUGBY LEAGUE GOLDEN OLDIES – GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1000 metres  
 
JOEY JAWS (NZ) - jumped in at the start bumping SIR PAISLEY and raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
MAHA MUSTANG - raced wide throughout.
 
KING CONI - began awkwardly.
 
SIR PAISLEY - was squeezed between runners at the start.
 
PHAROSPHERE - jumped in the air at the start.
 
CYCLONE DIVA - began awkwardly jumping out at the start bumping SIR PAISLEY, then over raced in the early stages.
 
PURPLE TRUMPET - raced wide in the early and middle stages and laid in down the home straight.
 
PRIZED ARTIST - held up for clear running approaching the 100 metres.
 
 
Race 2: BARKY XMAS RACES – 26/12/2022 – MAIDEN PLATE 1000 metres
 
HE IS LUCKY - began awkwardly and was slow into stride, rider reported saddle slipped shortly after the start and took no competitive part in the race.
 
ZOROSSA - reared high in the air as the gates opened dislodging the rider and completed the race riderless. Trainer Ray Herman was advised ZOROSSA must complete a barrier jump out before racing again.
 
BOSTON BELLE - fractious prior to the start and shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
MY ANGEL’S GIFT - raced wide throughout.
 
TAORMINA MATCH - laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 3: COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN Handicap 1100 metres
 
STAR OF O’REILLY (NZ) - slow away and taken to the inside shortly after the start.
 
AHWAHNEECHEE - raced wide throughout.
 
ZUKAZ - raced wide throughout.
 
KEDLESTON - slow away and taken to the inside shortly after the start.
 
HALCYON HOUSE - fractious prior to the start and as a result was slow into stride.
 
TYCOON ZIP - fractious prior to the start and raced wide for the majority.
 
THE CRUISER - Jockey Brooke Richardson pleaded guilty to a charge under the terms of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 2 more than permitted. Jockey Richardson was issued with a reprimand.
 
Race 4: IR TYPING POOL BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200 metres
 
REAL HUSSEY - began awkwardly.
 
RAPIDS - held up for clear running approaching the 100 metres.
 
SURPRISE SELECTION - raced wide for the majority.
 
FLASH FIBIAN - began awkwardly and had to steady off heels near the 800 metres.
 
FLAMING TORCH - shifted out off heels approaching the 100 metres.
 
HIDDEN HILLS - began awkwardly and as result was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
 
MUSTAFA - raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 5: CW PREMIERS 2022 CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 metres
 
HIGHLAND EAGLE - jumped in at the start and bumped POLLARD, rider lost nearside iron at the start and shortly after run up onto heels and was forced to check.
 
UZERLI - was fractious prior to the start, began awkwardly and then raced wide for the majority.
 
COUNTRY ROADS - was declared a late scratching at 3:25pm after escaping from handler and bolting from the mounting yard.
 
REALLY REALLY GOOD - was held up approaching the 200 metres and had to shift outwards across heels to obtain clear running.
 
TYPHOON TALAYAH - began awkwardly and as a result was extremely slow into stride.
 
PLENTY OF TICKER - bumped POLLARD on two occasions near the 800 metres and raced wide for the majority.
 
POLLARD - was bumped by HIGHLAND EAGLE at the start and bumped by PLENTY OF TICKER near the 800 metres on two occasions.
 
 
Race 6: ST JOSEPH’S 125 YRS CELEBRATION BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1300 metres
 
PARANGAS - jumped out at the start and bumped AMADEO.
 
GRAND PLAAZZO - slow into stride.
 
AMADEO - was bumped by PARANGAS at the start and raced wide throughout.
 
AURIC GOLD - slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
 
STRAWBERRY BLONDE - approaching the 200 metres was tightened between THE LANDING and ARCHADE.
 
THE LANDING - raced wide throughout.
 
LESLIE JAMES - very slow into stride.
 
 
Race 7: SAVE THE DATE MAY DAY 2023 – 29/04/23 QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1300 metres
 
MASTER OF MENACE (NZ) - slow into stride.
 
OUR YOUNG MAN - approaching the 400 metres shifted in across the heels of THE SABBATH and checked.
 
MISS BENEFITS - slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 8: BARKY SPARKY ‘DOUG GESCH MEMORIAL’ BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1600 metres
 
GYPSY BIKER - raced wide throughout
 
DUBAI MOON - jockey Jasen Missen was found guilty of a charge under the terms of AR131(a) for careless riding, for allowing his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of CARLIN TREND ridden by apprentice Sophie Wilcock approximately 50 metres after the start causing that runner to clip heels and blunder. Mr Missen’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days from 30th November until 6th November inclusive.
 
MEATBALL - raced wide throughout.
 
HELMET HEAD - ride dropped the whip approaching the 80 metres.
 
CARLIN TREND - was bumped at the start by DUBAI MOON which jumped out, approximately 50 metres after the start clipped heels and blundered when DUBAI MOON shifted out.
 
TREBLA - bumped with GONZO at the start.
 
BUDDIE OLLI - raced wide throughout.
 
GONZO - bumped with TREBLA at the start.
