Aramac Racing Club 24 August 2024
Race 1 Z & V CONTRACTING / JEFF DOLGNER MEMORIAL Maiden Plate 1000m.
Stewards completed an inquiry in relation to the circumstances where HOME CREEK (Tim Brummell) fell approaching the 500m. After considering evidence from Tim Brummell, rider of HOME CREEK and Darren Evans, rider of TERRONA, Mr Evans was found guilty of a charge under AR131(a) for careless riding, in that approaching the 500m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of HOME CREEK resulting in that runner being tightened onto the rail, becoming unbalanced, blundering and falling. Trailing runners, IMPENDING RAIN, MISHANI OUTLAW, WAN D’AMOUR, COOL MAN SHOW and KIPSAMO were checked noticeably and R Fraehr and A Bakos-Schrapel being dislodged from their respective mounts. The license to ride in races of Mr Evans was suspended for a period of 34 days to commence midnight 9 November 2024 and conclude midnight 13 December 2024. In assessing penalty stewards took into account the riders not guilty plea, the Careless Riding Template, the riders recent record, the consequential effects of the interference suffered to multiple runners and the degree of culpability being placed on Mr Evans.
